Wickham? Has a similar record as both of these at a worse team (than ings anyway) Fletcher isn't fit. That's why he didn't start yesterday. Also why he didn't play 90 against Fulham. Did a very thorough warm up yesterday. We all say get Rhodes or Ings in which I don't think would be a bad idea but Wickham has a similar record at the level that they're succeeding

Agree with this completely. Way, way too big of a risk bringing in either of these lads from the championship and hoping they can do it in the prem, it's a whole different kettle of fish. Maybe in the summer, but to pin our survival hopes on them? Not a ****ing chance imo.

No idea mate. But I know four certain that Fletcher is capable. Just haven't seen anything that persuades me that Altidore is. My point is that there's no point spending money when we gave a player who is just as good out on loan
I agree fletcher is capable altidores a mystery to me but we need something as those 2 at the minute arnt doing it. Scocco looks decent but will he settle in the premier only other option is stick borini up top
Why sell an experienced forward when we only have 3 recognised forwards in the squad following the departure of Ji; that assumes Jozy is actually a forward! Jozy might come good in time but he's not doing it right now. We've had 10 games in 29 days and with such a small squad Gus hasn't had the luxury of resting a clearly injured Fletcher given the shambles that is Jozy. We need to add experience to the squad not weaken it, but getting experience in January is really difficult and ultimately expensive. I don't know who is available but I trust Gus to get us out of this mess. Rhodes might be worth a gamble as an addition to the squad but I don't think Burnley would let Ings go given their current position. They could be a Premier outfit themselves next season
Id rather take Ki permanently and bring in Ba on loan for the rest of the season. Putting your faith in a kid from the Championship reeks of desperation to me. Plucking at straws is an understatement.
Hi Marcus. I wasn't saying get these 2guys in. I was saying don't bring Connor back. He has found his level and is doing well but I honestly believe he isn't good enough for us to stay in the PL. At the moment Fletcher isn't firing on all cylinders, Jozy works hard but can't score and Borini pops up with the odd one now and again. It's our wingers and defenders who are scoring our goals. We have 16 games to survive and our strikers aren't good enough to get the goals we need to stay up. Our own players are saying that in post match interviews for gods sake! We need to get at least 1 new striker in. At least! Don't ask me who. I haven't got a ****ing clue. Thankfully it's not job to deliver! But 1 new striker is a massive priority for me!
Why? We've scored 11 goals in our last 4 games. We're set up for the goals to come from all over the pitch and that's what's happening. We've taken on a new style which takes time to adapt to. It started with tightening up, then keeping and passing the ball well and now we're adding goals. Why are you desperate? I'm encouraged.
