http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/hull-transfer-news-jake-livermore-3035901 We want him, but for Christ's sake, get real.
If Shane Long's worth £7m, Livermore's easily worth £10m. That's the problem when you start overpaying for players, everyone overcharges you as they know you're east to take to the cleaners.
As long as they dont recall him is the important bit. I dont care about what happens in the summer until we get there. If we stay up and Palace go down I'd buy Jedinak if its 10 million for Jake.
why would we pay that, I'm sure it was mentioned that part of the season long loan would follow with the agreement already in place for £3.5M in the summer if we stay up?
Just like the long deal. £5.5m in the summer, all of a sudden £7.5m in January after he's been mediocre and his contracts run down another 6 months. Other clubs will look to take us for a ride now and rightly so.
The Mirror must be making this up and on the back of zilch research. That is, I assume what we were told repeatedly about the season end agreement in place still stands? I suppose we need to know what sort of agreement this actually is. Doesn't feel good...
Bruce's valuation is £6m, Levy says £10m, they'll meet half-way at £8m I think that's a tad high He didn't manage to take control of the match at Carrow Road By that valuation Snodgrass is worth £12m
Hopefully Sherwood does ****ly and gets sacked then. New foreign manager comes in who doesn't rate him. Good times.
Unless of course we do have the clause in place and Levy was just trying to get a bigger club to come in for him at a higher price in the hope Livermore chose them.
The Mirror has been printing bollocks about us for the past month. Bruce has already stated our business for this window is finished, just ignore it.
Red top newspapers in sensational bullshit claims. We've just broke our transfer record twice in a number of days. I guess it's just easy to just pick our name, pick someone we want and slap a silly figure on him.
aye, Hull have a mad, money-flinging owner who is ready to splash the cash et cetera et cetera.. and it's well-known Daniel Levy rarely gives discount in his Tottenham Court Road xanut
Options to buy are a load of bollocks. The parent club can just change their mind and say nah not enough. We had an agreement in place to sign Elmohamady for £1m if we got promoted, he ended up costing £2.5m because Poyet thought the original fee wasn't enough.
that was because he was recalled in January which voided the original deal. Poyet also wasn't the manager when they sold Elmo. If Livermore doesn't get recalled the original deal is valid. It's a contract, there's no renegging just because you suddenly don't think it's enough. It's essentially short-selling, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
i would have thought the agreement is pretty much binding - unless another club substantially beat that offer and our club is provided with compo - is that how these pre-sale agreements work ?
