Hmmmm, out of all the minority's it's always the Chinese I've thought the most of. Seem to be hard working, friendly people and don't tend to see them abuse our benefit system. Eastern European and Pakistani people are the ones I'm most ignorant about
The majority of Chinese students I have come across over the years, which runs into the thousands, have been no problem whatsoever and are generally polite and respectful. However, like every other nationality for that matter, there have been exceptions to this rule..
Chinese, Indian, African, Romanian or even Geordies - most of them are decent people, but they all have their share of scum and arseholes. I wouldn't have pissed on Maggie if she was on fire (because I would have been the one who set her alight) but will always start with the assumption that anyone, whatever their colour or nationality, is a decent person until they convince me that they aren't.

Having lived in China for a few years now, I can say they are in my opinion one of the friendliest races of people I have had the pleasure to meet and live amongst. It is far safer the walk the streets here than it is in most cities back in the UK and any aggression towards foreigners is virtually non-existent. The title of this thread appears to have been written by someone ignorant of the truth about the Chinese, perhaps he should check some facts before writing such bias for others to follow his ignorance. Smug, you live overseas, I would think living amongst foreigners you would be more tolerant to those of a different nationality to yourself, or do you go around complaining about the locals where you live? I get the impression you would try to start an argument in an empty room.
You lost me when you said , "Margaret Thatcher was right". If you'd started with , " Margaret Thatcher was a right cnut" , I'd have paid more attention.

My nephew lives in Roker, bought a lovely end of terrace house, his elderly next door neighbors passed away and it was bought by a notorious landlord who owns half of Roker Avenue and is now working his way through the adjacent streets. Two years ago he had 12 months of hell at the hands of rich Chinese students who basically thought they were living out a Big Brother type fantasy, the lads became Gok Wan look a likes and tried to outcamp each other shrieking and laughing at the top of their pitch and vocal range. After a couple of months of trying to be reasonable, escalating to the council & University (who were not bothered in the slightest)they had to get the police involved as violence towards them by my nephew and his wife's family was becoming an inevitability. It took several meetings until their behavior moderated so the noise ceased at midnight. In my experience, they do not respect the British slightest, they are arrogant and ignorant, add in how they treat and use animals then they are the most barbaric of races too.
