A split-second after this, Ramirez folds under the pain. This should have been a free-kick on the edge of the box, and when dealing with the incidents of both Lovren and Ramirez, one can sense that Chris Foy realises he's called the wrong decision on this tackle. Replays of Lovren's injury look rather more self inflicted and just part of a coming together with the Sunderland player.
TSS Having watched that part do you not think that even if Foy thought that was a good tackle that he should have pulled the play back for the multiple grapples and attempted fouls on the previous 30 yards of Gaston's run? I thought he must've been allowing advantage when he let play continue.
In all honesty, Gaston was being very slippery and quick and apart from a bit of pushing and shoving he remained in perfect control of the ball, prior to that tackle. Keep the Alice band Gaston. You were looking good until chopped down.
Just watched the game in full as I was out earlier. Gaston was amazing! Shame he's injured, but at least Osvalso will be back to replace Lambert who's still playing average and makes our attack look weak.
I thought he was playing advantage yeah. They don't tend to pull things back though, especially after he's run another 30 yards.

We looked really good, bit of a lapse for their first, but a great swashbuckling display. But, the price to pay might well be considerable. Gutted for Dejan & Gaston. Glad its the cup next w/end.
