Plenty of trouble which resulted in 9 ejections and an away fan being relocated to the home end for her own safety. Abdi was a little rusty, but same old Almen really. That was the most running he had done all game and the injury resulted. It certainly wasnt from making a challenge!! No, he had **** for brains. As he said to me several times after the game "i didnt touch him". He was easily 3 yards away. We can appeal, but if its mistaken identity the card can be given to the correct player. Im hoping my view of the player being offside before contact is true and the card is completely rescinded. It didnt get a red as there was no obvious goal scoring opportunity denied. The player was going away from goal. Manuel Almunia is a God amongst goal keepers!!! He was outstanding again today. He is a coward and deserves to be named, shamed and strung up by the balls. He is breaking the law and giving all of us a bad name. Penis is the politest thing he was called today!! He was totally incompetent and should be totally re-educated to prevent those errors happening again.
Twitter comment from Jon marks that seems to make a lot of sense. "Not sure how a red card can be issued when clear the officials not sure who it was they were looking for! They must be 100% sure?"
Yet a few seasons back, Mapps was mistakenly sent off instead of Doyley - the red was rescinded but no action taken against Doyley.... Eddie Howe has just made a fool of himself with his comment over the incident - claiming he had a clear view and saw him grab their player.... http://www.watfordobserver.co.uk/sp...sman_has_made_a_very_brave_and_correct_call_/
Yeah, those were the rules then. But this season they changed so that the player who committed the foul gets punished, as well as bringing in retrospective punishment.
Heisenberg ‏@MattGeraghty2 49m It's only a flair, if you've got asthma, bring your inhaler Maybe the club would like to interview this fool to start with. Look around twatter and there are a bunch of them who fail to see that flairs are banned and could create trouble for the club. Look at the data base and you should get a collection of names that want to keep throwing these things.
Back to the football, ok, we drew, but was the performance any good? and to those who went, what do you think is the new manager's style of play?
For the first penalty, I am sure there player was pulled back by his shirt, so I would have no complaints, but there is no way any official could have seen who did the pulling. The lino was behind the play and could not see the offside and the ref had a group of players in the way. But the second was a farce, the muff player lost the ball and then did the most pitiful dive I have ever seen and the ref brought it. A very tense atmosphere in an out of the ground. The muff fan in the white coat who got the brunt of the Watford abuse and was warned by Stewards at the end of the game was hanging around outside after looking for afters but soon ran off when someone took him up on his offer of a 1-2-1. Some male steward violently pushed my mates daughter out of the way as we watched this and she went mental at him and the chief steward had to intervene - he said he saw the incident and would report him - tbh, the pusher looked a bit "special"...
I thought that after the sending off the team really pulled together and showed remarkable resilience and fight. Daniel Pudil's last gasp block was truly amazing and reflected the spirit if the team. The teal also couldn't wait at the end of the game to come over to the 1300 watford fans and applaud us. They knew that we were utterly behind them every minute of the game and it wouldn't surprise me if this game kick started our year! COYH's
I'd go further than this WY, having just seen it on TV, the tackle from One Size is absolutely perfect. It is spot on and then the dive is, as you say, pathetic. I'm still not as sure as you for the first pen though. I think the refs first instinct was right.
None of the Bournemouth fans behind the goal appear to think so either.... I think you need to look at 2-3 frames earlier than your first one, there definitely was a shirt tug - but I'm not even sure that it was in the box....
very minor, didn't result in the player going to ground and wasn't last point on goal it was Hall with ekstand still to go so a complete balls up however you argue it!
I think this confirms it - had the boot been on Fessi's foot, he would have been booked. https://vine.co/v/hlpdKTpKHd6
Absolutely, makes me think the ref was trying not to lose his 100% record (Watford losing when he officiates). The FL should discipline both the assistant and him for this inept performance but we all know how they close ranks!!!!
And Eddie Howe needs to go to specsavers!!! Clear penalty my backside and was blind for the second one, more like it was such an obvious dive he knows he'd look the idiot he really is if he tried to justify it.... One thing I liked about Zola was his honesty, shame a lot don't follow that model.
I copied this from the BBC. But the complexion of the game changed when Bournemouth were awarded a penalty just after the hour as Grabban tumbled in the area when under pressure from Fitz Hall and Joel Ekstrand. Goalscorer Angella was given a straight red card and Grabban scored from the spot, with Almunia diving the wrong way. The 62.minute is confusing to me and I think the BBC.
No, the referee honestly sent off Angella when he was 3 yards away from the incident. It was Hall and Ekstrand who tangled with Grabban.
