Utter drivel. Sky showed him clearly make contact with his midriff - and he didn't touch the ball at all. FFs, you once got a penalty against Spurs at OT when the goalie DID knock the ball away from carrick but was deemed to have made contact (minimal) after the ball had gone and there was no way Carrick would have got it. And he got him (Suarez) with his knee too.
Absolutely I am. Sky showed the contact with his foot and Guzan's belly (he caught him with his knee too). Not once have I said it was a pen, and suarez could have stayed up, but that's not a dive.
Young? He's 26 and an International. Hardly a 20 something trying to make his way. He was partly at fault for 2nd, needlessly running to close down the RB up field leaving a big space at lb. that drew Toure out from the middle, gave Agbonlahor loads of space to make the cross.
Having played for five different teams and is 26, I do not think Aly goes in the young player category. You've labelled Gerrard for Johnson for their faults, Aly Also does this. He's always out of position, offers no support defensive and offensively. We were basically playing with one center back today, with Kolo constantly covering Alys position, with him being painfully out of it. When everyone is fully fit, he's our third choice left back. Maybe I'm being too harsh on someone who's third choice but when your playing for Liverpool and your that bad, it needs to be brought up.
Assuming every one is fit I'd like to see this for Everton.. ----------Mignolet---------- Flanno--Agger-Sahko--Enrique -----------Lucas------------ --Hendo--Coutinho--Allen---- -----Sturridge-Suarez------- That's assuming Agger, Sahko, Enrique, Flanogan and Lucas are all fit Maybe Skrtel in for Agger as it could be costly changing our whole back four.
Whilst I'd like a little longer to consider what actually happened, I have to say that both fullbacks were culpable in or defensive performance. Add to that the fact is that Gerrard is a deep laying playmaker and not a defensive midfielder - nor for that matter is Henderson. To therefore leave 2 players in midfield against a practised 3 man midfield is really asking for trouble. All in all it was a mess
Pretty much sums it up perfectly, Dave. Thankfully We escaped with a point so let's hope the mistakes are learned from.
Assuming every one is fit I'd prefer this for Everton.. ----------Mignolet---------- Flanno--Agger-Sahko--Enrique -----------Lucas------------ --Hendo--Gerrard--Coutinho---- -----Sturridge-Suarez-------
This is weird. I've spent ages crotising Skrtel whilst most were praising him yet I now find myself defending him He's been our best defender so far this season.
I'd switch very slightly making it 4312 with Coutinho in the hole. I'd also play Skrtel () ahead of Agger. Feels harsh on Sterling though, thought he and Skrtel were our best players today.
My ratings: Mingolet: 4 Chocolate wrists at crosses. Good shot stopper, terrible at commanding his area. hard to determine whether he's cause or effect to our defensive instabilities. Johnson: 4 Can't defend him any more, and he can't defend (or run) any more. Not much made how he sauntered back from the opposition half without a care in the world for their first goal. When did he lose this much pace? Dire in the air too. Cissokho: 4 I honestly thought he'd been improving, albeit from a very, very low base. Two steps back today - panics in defence, no composure in attack. Toure: 5 How many times did he let the ball drop over his shoulder rather than just head it? When he just wellies the ball anywhere you ask "Why didn't you take a touch and pass it?". When he takes a touch and loses it you know why. Skrtel: 6 Pick of a dire defence. Not that that is a lot. Gerrard: 6 I agree with pirlo role, but Pirlo doesn't lose the ball with his first touch in front of his back four. dire first half, sublime pass for the pen. Coutinho: 5 Used to him fading in the second half, but faded even before that in this game. Henderson; 7 pick of the midfielders and his flick for Studge's first goal was class. Was overrun with the rest by Villa in the first half. Sturridge: 6 Took his goal well in an otherwise anonymous first half. tried to do the best he could with several huge punts forward by defenders who seemed to think Andy carroll is still playing for us. Sterling: 7 Apart from a dodgy first touch he improves every game. again though, overrun in that first half. Suarez: 6 No service, frustrated, elbowed, kicked, kneed and made several overhit passes in dangerous positions, Not his best game.
Not really "scapegoatism" or even particularly Lord of the Flies. He wasn't the only poor performer today but he is a total liability and has been every time he's played. Has he had a good game yet? No, not one. I'm not criticising him as a person Nobby just as a player. He's been criminally bad. I'm not going to argue re Gerrard or Johnson as they were both abject ****e as well, plus you forgot to add Coutinho (worst game I've seen him have), Ming (does he play playstation games by any chance) and worst performer of the day which goes to Rodgers for his tactical masterstroke of wasting a whole 45 minutes of the game "experimenting" with a team that didn't need to be ****ed about with. As for whether or not he was responsible for either goal, well I suggest you look back at the first one where HE is the man in the middle as Toure chases the runner yet when he gets in the box he starts to stroll....he should have been busting a gut to get back on the line (as should Gerrard who didn't have a clue where his man was). Oh and just out of interest where was he for the second when Villa strolled down our left side and Agbon had a free cross from the edge of the box? Sitting having a cigar and getting a foot massage? Him (along with a few others) deserve a rocket up their ****ing arses Oh and don't get me started on him ballooning it 20 yards off target from 7 yards out....Jesus truly wept at that one.
And I feel ****ing vindicated, Sh1tty, after watching MoTd. But I don't think it was a pen. No dive, but no pen.
In the first half a Liverpool forward was deliberately and maliciously elbowed in the jaw/side of the head, now like a lot of us I played Sunday league footy and as payback I'd have went over easy like our player did and why not because the ref put Suarez's reputation before his job.
What are you worried about Billy? You only got angry. Me I suffered physical violence during the game. As Villa scored their 2nd I put my head in my hands and shouted "For f**ks Sake". Just the Herself cracked me round the head and shouted at me to stop f**king swearing!! But you are right to say that the lowest raing for that game goes to Rodgers but that the team scored only slightly higher.
I'm worried if we play like that against the bitters we're gonna get stuffed Dave I'm also worried that when I can see problems that the manager can't it's a bad sign.....anyway, hope your head's alright
