Cardiff played the best they could and did well in patches but they were never going to win in a month of sundays...
I never forget the report when cardiff were playing pompey in the fa cup final and a group of cardiff fans spotted a lonely skinhead outside wembley after they just lost, they approached this lonely figure and promptly beat him up only to find as he was on his way to hospital that he was a cardiff fan ..
Its true never, the guy was not even a skinhead he was just going bald they thought he was a Pompey fan because he had a blue scarf around his neck not realizing that cardiff also had blue scarfs....they must be very confused today with some wearing blue and some in red that they fight each other..
Just typical of the mindless numskulls that support that team. Anyway their bottom and with some luck stay there.
A lot of things are shaping up plasticfan, injuries coming back , a free game tomorrow really cause everybody that matters has played and were the same 3 points behind that relegation spot.I think we may start to get a lot more goals in the not to distant future. Which may spur us on in other competions. Could be a magical few months ahead for the team , and fans.
Then again it might not and we carry on playing the same before injuries, We need to change a few things but i cant see ML ever doing that...One thing a few of us have agreed on before the start of the season was the size of our squad, It has proved too small for all the football we have to play and we could have done with 3-5 players more. We were so lucky with injuries last season that the chances of us being so lucky again was slim and that's what happened. A win tomorrow is important for not only for the 3 points but for confidence also. Another home defeat is demoralizing for everyone.
I really wish you'd stop posting for everyone ,you're not speaking for me .When we have everyone back fit why would do we need 27 players , we can't afford to keep a playing staff of players of a similar standard /pay structure. If we're still not picking points up during the latter part of January . early February then I would may agree with you but not yet .
Re: squad size. As Bonymaen said, we can't afford 26-28 Prem standard players....and as Laudrup said, usually this would mean that half a dozen of them would have no involvement whatsoever. Which damages changing room as well as our purse. Imagine 5 more Leyroy Litas. The first 2 seasons we had tremendous good luck with injuries. This season we are having tremendous bad luck. You might say we should have foresaw this situation with all the extra games but name me another team involved in the Europa who has had as many injuries as we have had.... This squad of players are in the fire now and the heat is increasing. When we get through this our team of youngsters will have been forged and will truly be a battle hardened Prem team. When you watch today try to imagine another Prem team above us in the table shorn of; - their goalkeeper - their midfield - playing with a centre-back in midfield - all of their wingers (bar Routledge) either crocked or returning and not match fit - missing their top scorer/talisman If you do this you might find yourself proud of how we perform regardless of the result...but even in this dire situation I am confident our lads can get a result! C'mon the boys! STID.
