The stats for aerial duels was truly abysmal today. Johnsons was 1 out of 7 - for a player of his size, he should be doing a lot more.

To be honest, i always felt that villa was your bogey team. They may have been steam rollered by most sides but somehow always give you a tough time. Rodgers may have underestimated them, like the fans.

I also felt that Gerrard coming back funnily enough didn't strengthen the team. Henderson was inhibited and the midfield was really laboured. The stoke match with Gerrard could have been a banana skin were it not for an own goal and a very soft pen.

Smiffy's a typical manc who can't see the irony and can't see that over the years nailed on opposition pens refused at OT contributed to Utd's success.<ok>

The question is: could Liverpool (and Suarez ) dive all the way to the title? <whistle>

I think it would be quite difficult but it is still possible. <ok>

Gerrard should be a bench player in whatever position Rodgers wants him, before we had him, our midfield three had stepped up and player really well. Rodgers has a problem with picking first team players when our team is playing fine.
    4-2-4 formation never works.

    Cissokho should be shot.

Tell us how many of our goals were achieved by diving this season and how many Utd have had plus the bookings smiffy?

Having been away for so long, I am an outsider for this Cissokho hatred. It appears to be much like Lucas hatred a few years back, it appears to have built up a head of steam and is feeding itself.

I mean to say, of all the ****e that Liverpool produced today, you still think Cissi was the worst thing out there??

There is a sense of scapegoatism going on, it just appears to be the common lightning rod on the site to vent at Cissokho, despite there is far greater ****e in the form of Gerrard and Johnston who deserve the vitriol far more, but poor Cissokho seems to get the worst of it, despite not being the worst player in the team.

Was Cissokho responsible for either Villa goal? Did he give away a penalty? Was he the most wasteful player on the pitch? I think that because a few people have found fault with him, that others feel comfortable, and a sense of belonging if they join in the abuse too. Very Lord of the Flies.

No sense at all. Cissokho was constantly out of position and terrible. If your told to play that way but can't, your instinct is to plat to your strengths. The guy is clearly not confident and if he is trying to play to his strength then that's embarrassing.

Well if being out of position is a worse crime that giving the ball away all the time, like Stevie, or constantly being out of position all the time, and losing the ball all the time, like Johnston, then you may have a point.

Personally I prefer the managers to drop senior players who are not delivering, rather than pick on a young player, who is trying to acclimate to the prem.
