Just heard that and actually some Cherries fans are suggesting it was a dive anyway.. So really the ref will be getting poor marks from both managers which REALLY DOES sum up what sort of game he had.
It is very rare to hear Jon Marks say what a shocker a ref has had. Today he really couldn't seem to work out just what was going on at the time of the penalties. Almunia who seems to be very calm, even laid back, was about to explode when the second one was given.
Even the Cherries fans aren't sure what went on - who did the foul for the 2nd penalty then? http://www.bournemouth.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=61629&start=61&posts=66
No foul Hall played ball by the way the ball dramatically changed its course after tackle thats only explanation possible Farce!!!!!
Seen three Nugent penalties and he failed to score any of them resulting in me winning three little bets for predicting the right score hence my post lol!!!
Just got back. Ref was an utter penis and completely lost the plot after the 2nd penalty. We thought he was going to book the Muff player for diving at first - it was comical and would look good on Splash tonight!
Only missed 2 We also have Super Kev for penalties now. I heard he is decent at taking peno's in play offs
Mid table obscurity is all relative Mex - it doesn't look too bad when you've been grimly hanging on by the fingernails to the 4th Division trapdoor like some of us have.....
True, still I had higher hopes, we'll label it a 'transition' season, what ever the hell that means!!
