The disappointing thing for me was the huge gaps that started appearing in our central defensive area. Really with a bit more composure, Sunderland could have scored more.

At the time IMO it was what I thought and the ref agreed with me as he did not book the player or gave a free kick so no I will not apologise.
I will watch motd tonight and see what you saw on tv.

Ligaments can take longer to fix than a break sometimes as I know from personal experience.

The fact that both players have returned with the rest of the squad means nothing in terms of their injuries. If the swelling is bad, there is very little they can do for at least a day or two. So no point staying in the North East when they can just as easily be treated closer to home.

Here it is from another angle. Note that it's not a site associated with Southampton, under the title Dirty Tackle of the Day.

And yet he was the one coming off before Ramirez' injury. I suppose it could be argued that he had run himself out.

Sounds like a porn site that link so won't go there, it can't be a dirty tackle as brown got the ball first what happened after was a accident

Just because he got the ball doesn't mean it wasn't a dirty tackle. Learn the laws of the game.

No you learn the laws of the game that was a good tackle, he got the ball first his feet were not off the ground maybe your player was after a penalty and was waiting for the first touch to go down

I suspect it's more likely he was hoping to finish off an excellent run with a winning goal, rather than getting his ankle broken.

For ****s sake a red card is not based on whether feet were off the ground. It's if EXCESSIVE FORCE is used in the tackle. Brown used excessive force, therefore should have been sent off.

Ignore him...he's trying to wind you up...no one could actually believe it was faked or time wasting. After all, how many teams allow two of their players to be taken off injured to waste time. If they jumped up and came straight on he would have a point.

Tom being a referee means not mate, there was a professional ref at the game and he didn't even see it as a yellow

Some things can be debated, and are open to interpretation, but I don't really think there's much debate to be had about Brown's challenge. Ramirez has made a great mazy run and is about to pull the trigger. Brown has panicked and clattered Ramirez from behind. The referee should get demoted for not giving that as a foul (unless he had no view of the incident due to a player blocking his view of it completely).

...and as we know this season, a professional referee seeing an incident once, from one angle, at full speed, ensures the correct call.
