HT. That goal will help a lot. Will really shake Villa up before HT team talk. Sterling has been out of the game. While Ford has been poor he has atleast tried to get involved. It might be prudent to remove Sterling for Allen/Lucas and then go 4-3-3 with SAS/Ford up top. More drive in midfield, more protection to the back 4.
Brod has gone for square pegs in round holes. Not so much with players in wrong positions, but wrong formation to play all four of Suarez, Sturridge, Sterling and Coutinho without disturbing SAS We should have stuck with the 433 system and picked the best players available to fit the formation. If that means dropping one of Sterling or Coutinho and leaving Sturridge on the bench so be it. This is the bit of Brod I seriously don't like.
I think BR needs to show his bollox here and replace Gerrard with Lucas - I'm not one of these who constantly ****s on our captain but that's the worst half of football I've seen him play I think
Bring on Sahko and Allen, bring off Cissikho and Coutinho. Cissikho is the worst player I've ever seen in a LFC shirt, no football brain, slow, clumsy and can't defend. That goal has saved our asses but we desperately need a change.
I don't like that Rod thinks this is gerrards new pos. Took him months to realise pure chicken tikka Masala didn't work for us... and he had a crap start to managing us... but he learnt it didn't work and we got good. Hopefully it won't take Rodgers as long to learn Gerrard doesn't fit there.
