Southampton Football Club on Twitter: "The #SaintsFC squad are on their way back to Southampton. @gasramirez10 and @DejanLovren05 are both travelling home with their teammates."
Joint bottom of the Championship next followed by top of the Premiership. Too completely different fixtures, different prep, different lineups. Doesn't get any easier for us. I'm looking towards Fulham, that's the next important match, forget the next two. Sent from my RM-914_eu_euro1_337 using Tapatalk
Utterly dominated before their first, thoroughly deserved the two goal lead. Borini's goal came as he got into the box unchallenged, breaking the offside trap and having the only defender in a position to contest him (Chambers) standing with his hand up, which allowed Borini to collect and scuff one into the bottom corner. Sunderland put together a decent spell of pressure thereafter, though we ended up controlling play heading into the half. Second half they were much better...threatened on a couple occasions, and had a goal (rightly) ruled out for offside. Had a couple opportunities to make it 3-1 that came to nothing, and Johnson's goal should have been palmed away by Boruc; made poor contact, into the net it went. They had chances to make it 3-2, and Gaston's injury came after he danced through most of the Sunderland team and was about to shoot; Brown got a bit of the ball on the edge of the area with a last-ditch tackle, but ended up taking all of Gaston's ankle. Looked really, really bad. Not sure about Lovren's; it didn't look like much, but he was down for quite some time.
I thought Rickie was *marginally* better today by the way. Still not great by any stretch of the imagination, and I'd definitely give Osvaldo a good run in the team now. But a little bit better.
I would like to apologise for my previous comment about poyet . It was unnecessary and of course I wouldn't wish that on anyone . I hope everyone forgives me for any offence it caused .
Have you really just gone through the whole thread looking for negative comments? (but conveniently ignoring saintsfcfan's apology)
Isn't the CBK (sarcastic) comment exactly what was purported by the Sunderland fan to have been put on the Newcastle board by the mysteriously new Saints poster? Methinks I smell a rat.......
