I'm waiting for us to find our feet. I don't feel like Mark Hughes is inspiring - he never seems animated when he speaks to the media and I wonder how he gets the players going.

I'm not tub thumping; shouting for Hughes out, but I really hope he starts to show some passion for Stoke. We need the energy back in the team for every game, not just the big ones, otherwise it's going to be a long hard season.

    Feeling a bit miserable.

They all want a kick up there back sides, same mistakes week in week out, giving the ball away, and bad defending.

You my friend are finding out the hard way what many have already told you...
I'm honestly not here to say "i told you so" or anything similar, but what you have posted in the OP is spot on.

you've got some decent players and they have kept you up for a long time, so you ccant blame them.
Hughes was a phenominal player and did it for years at the top level.
the problem is he has the personality of d dead horse.
He doesnt show any passion for his team or employers. He will never admit he got anything wrong and most importantly...He does not poses the man management skills to motivate players.
I think you will be safe this year, but I'd warn against any hopes of "progression" in the close season.

I dont think I've ever seen a more disintrested Stoke team then the one I've watched over the past few weeks.

I really hope it works ou for you and i also appologise if anyone is offended by any of this post. its not meant to be anything other that an observation.

What i will say is that, NOW its up to your crowd to get behind and motivate the team. MH wont do it, but as we proved at Man City, you fans can do that job.

Good luck to all and hope we lock horn next season. <ok>

PS. It wont suprise me if i get slated by some for this. So i'm going to quietl slide back into the background...unless someone asks for my opinions <ok>

I don't post on here a lot, because of people like you, who think no one can say any thing negative about Stoke, I love Stoke, I have forgot more about Stoke, than you will ever know about them. When Stoke lose, I hurt, I don't care who the manger his has long has we play well.

You obviously havent watched us and so are not informed enough to pass comment. We could of beaten Everton and Liverpool and if you were eith at the CP game or listend on the radio you would have known that TP did what he always does, attemted to ruin the game from the off by putting XI behind the ball, they were that deep that we probaably didnt need to use the other half. One errand back pass was it. Disinterested - have a word.

I have said positives on here in the past, I like the way we are playing now, I was fed up how we played under TP, the last 2 seasons, I will judge more after the transfer window has gone for us when it has closed, so far we have 3, one sent out on loan, one who has been injured for a year, and Ireland great.

I think the thread has gone away from the point I was trying to make. I keep waiting for us to seem comfortable in our play but we haven't seemed to have two games together like that this season. Flashes of good play with some stand out performances followed by a lack lustre performance.

When we have an uninspired performance I hope the manager will fill me with confidence that all will be well; Mark Hughes doesn't.

Queenslander; you're quite crafty with your comments. You present yourself as an understanding fan who feels our pain and only hopes for the best for us; all the while whipping up Stoke fans and getting them to pitch up against each other - you're a very naughty boy; now bugger off ;-)

This is an opinion board but when someone expresses lack of enjoyment or concern, the opinion is criticised. How can an opinion be wrong?

Maybe there should be a sub-board for Stoke fans that can only be populated by people who pass a test first to show they are a real fan.

After a very good game last week against Liverpool, I expected us to be fired up for the palace game, but we weren't, its been a lot like this so far this season.

That was my dissapointment, the momentum from that game should have carried through to what was avery important game at Palace. Maybe it was the occassion, or maybe more importantly TP got his tatctics right for a typical 0-0 and was bailed out by errors that shouldnt happen at this level. Either way the result was bad, the performance was poor and the outcome is that as fans we are concerned.
