Easiest game we had left this season and we've been utterly utterly turgid. I'm really not confident, I do expect a slide. Hopefully the others can't make up the ground.
The good news is we're still 10th and 5 points from safety. The bad news is we're also only 5 points from the bottom of the table.
Awful awful. We just seemed to lump everything forward. Why do we continue to use Koren? He's a passenger in the side. Staying 10th right now and time to cheer on Liverpool for the next couple of hours to keep that. Oh well. It's out the way, nobody has taken advantage (so far) and we can move on to the next game and injured returnees get one step closer. UTT.
All the idiots come out again? Tough game against a good side who are fighting for their lives. If they lost today, the manager would have gone. Dissapointing performance coupled with the sending off. Time for some of our other players to step up and maybe allow JL to control the play. Ahh well, on to next week
Koren was far from the worst player, reason we lost that game was because our full backs where so deep and the midfield where poor, Thudd and Livermore had their worst game today. First time they combined in and around the box was the 90th minute, need to get the whole team further forward and not sat so deep.
I agree, Bob All of our games against the teams below us are away, bar Swansea and West Brom (hardly the easiest) and the games at the KC are against the likes of Arsenal, Man City, etc. If Jelavic had taken his chance today and we'd gone 1-0 up in the opening five minutes, I think we could have gone on to win by two or three. As it were, a series of unfortunate events played out and we've lost the game and finished with ten men.
Sorry to say, but I think Alex Bruce and Figgie are becoming the weak link. As a defender, Bruce puts in some great tackles but his passing is ****e, and usually results in giving the ball back to the opposition. However Huddlestone needs to take his share of the blame as he constantly distributes the ball back to the centre-halfs who don't share his capability to find a pass up field. We desperately need someone else in midfield or behind the strikers who is comfortable holding the ball. Aluko....get well soon mate.
Huddlestone being sent off could prove to be a blessing in disguise. He hasn't done anything since scoring against Fulham and today he was anonymous. Let's get Quinny back in to give the midfield some energy and a link to the strikers.
Patty, markkc, Pearson and Hull City AFC (DMD 5 points off rock bottom, getting beat off your rivals. You should get yourself back over to our board on the wum again. Right in the **** now. Serves yourself ****ing right
