You congratulated us after confronting a poster. Then proceeded to ignore football talk to argue about one of our posters arguing on your board instead of talking football. Like I said. HYPOCRITE!!!!! By the ****ing definition. Now judging by the fascist regime going on on your board we should ban you now.
I think that [the attitude of the players] is the most important thing and we need to be positive. I know that the fans are probably thinking what was going on in the first half hour. [It was] football, a team that has been struggling for a long, long time, they won three games in a row and now everybody expects them to go and win every single game. I understand that, the positional play – the plan didn’t work, which I am responsible for, but then we were able to sort it out somehow, especially with the goal from Fabio [Borini], the half-time break and the substitutions. We managed to get back in the game and got a point. I know we want to win at home and we want to beat everybody and put seven wins together and just get away from the bottom, but it’s not that easy because the opposition plays in their own style and Southampton are a very difficult team to play against. We couldn’t cope with them during the opening half hour, but then we gave a good 60 minutes; going forward, pressing, trying to score, the disallowed goal, then we score again and then we kept going. We were willing for the win so let’s give credit to the players. It’s always great to see the strikers and offensive players scoring. Fabio did it at the right time because it was looking really bad and Johnno is having an unbelievable run of goals so let’s hope we can keep them both fit to play the next few games. If you’d have told me that we would go on a run and only lose one game in 10 when I got the job, considering the position that we were in and how difficult it was for us to get a point, I would probably have taken it, so it’s progress and let’s hope we can maintain this. All the best, Gus Poyet
Apologies for that, I didn't want to have an argument but felt I should correct what he was saying. There's the continued football talk and the answer to the question. Anyhow, best leave it I think for now. As previously stated, good luck for the season.
No intent at all imo Wes needs replacing in the summer though, this is his swansong, hope we put a medal over his shoulders
It looks like a fine last ditch tackle to me that clips the ball against the attacker and the high speed of the tackle unfortunately caught the attacker.
I would have booked him personaly with only the one look at it. His contact with the ball was so slight I think any ref would have missed it. But it wasn't a dirty tackle, it had no malice, it was very unlucky for the lad but I think it's a yellow.
I said before the game it'd be tough and I'd take a point, and with what happened a point really was great. Could have won it, but the two injuries basically ended the game, we weren't a threat after them. Wes lucky to escape a red, even with making contact with the ball first
West Ham lost, Fulham lost, Cardiff lost, Hull lost, Stoke lost ......... what a great point that was today. I've been saying for weeks, we won't burst out of the bottom 3, it'll be one ground out point after another imo. We're now 1 point from being out of the bottom 3 with Stoke at home next. Hull have lost Huddlestone, sent off at Norwich for two yellows ............. does he miss our game?
I have nowt against Southampton until these arrogant bastards come on acting the twat .......... in fact I don't even think they're acting
