The whole of the second half was much dirtier from Sunderland. Poyet obviously told them to get in our faces and put themselves about. Typical of him. tried to park the bus and sit back the first half because he hasn't got a clue and then went the Allardyce route of push, pull and hoof in the second half.

Would like to see the Fletcher one on dejan too. From my stream in HD I only saw one replay and looked like Fletcher may have kicked his foot backward after Dejan was on the ground. Wife was warbling in my ear though so wasn't giving 100% attention to the screen during the replay.

Good point away from home but they are a shocking team.

He should, but am I wrong to be more upset about the ref playing on for quite a while than not getting the original decision right. That seems complaint-worthy to me. Maybe I am being biased about it.

Yeah, was thinking of games in which we dropped points as a result. Guess once in 3+ years isn't so bad.

So what do we think the Lovren injury is? Broken tibia? Or muscle/ligament...or just a mystery.

Surely he'd have had an x-ray for any kind of suspected break.

I'm kind of annoyed that it wasn't stopped which would therefore have prevented Dejan's injury (and perhaps his irritated kick out that led to it was born out of frustration that the foul hadn't been called).

Why should the ref have stopped?

Should Brown have gone? Probably just about. Any contact is enough to warrant a foul these days. Not too long ago it would have been regarded as an awesome tackle. The game hasn't changed for the better imo/

I think he's either done something meniscus-wise (tear), or possibly a pulled ligament, in his knee. Could be a hip too. Only guessing that as it's an overstretching type injury from kicking out.

Ref Fletcher/Dejan, looked like a pretty normal collision in every respect to me even when it was replayed slowly.

One of those things, I guess.

Really love the way you guys plays, good luck for the season and I pray we meet again next season! I think with the background of both clubs it was important that neither lost.

So not a break...hopefully not too bad and our next game is a cup match.

Sorry, Gaston. Haven't forgotten you really.
It's a bit like the old saying...die on a quiet day if you want decent media coverage.
