That wouldn't surprise me - although I've always thought that Arsenal would have their eye on him (from when we beat them 2-0 up there).

Laudrup is a classy man and manager but he does have a serious and wooden personality when facing the media, there seems to be a relaxed nature about him.

It's the type of personality which isn't focused on when things are going well as he's a nice chap and respected for his playing days.

After seeing more of his management, I'm inclined to believe he'll get found out in a bigger job, similar to Hoddle who was better suited to clubs with less demands.

Swansea and Laudrup are a good fit. He should stay there and not be in a rush to move as that saying '' grass isn't always greener '' springs to mind.

City do look good but I still fancy Barca to beat them over two legs.

The PL is an exciting league but we need more of the best players in the world playing in it imo.

I wish Sherwood would stop talking about "getting to know" the players. What the fvck has he been doing for the last 3 years?

Why are we signing players and then talking about selling them 6 to 12 months later? What a fvcking embarrassment <doh>

Tbh I thought he was more than fair and honest, they tried to re-hash the same question trying to push him down a cul-de-sac, but he wasn't having none of it. I would imagine he is getting to know the new 7 tbf, its only since avb's gone he will have spent more time with them, he was more taken up with the U21's till then. Seeing them around the place for a few months isn't getting to know them really, I think he means time to get into their character, he'll be well aware of their pitch ability, but there's many more situations to happen to see how they react, that does take time. I think Tim is very big on a 'desire to play and win for Spurs' ethic in his players, and who rolls their sleeves up when the going gets tough and it would follow if you think about it. For any faults we feel he may have, as a player he was captain of a title winning side with some big characters in it. Those players didn't accept him as captain for nothing, didn't manifest itself when he was here though, ending up having a biggy with Hoddle, so you'd have to say an outspoken character not phased by who's stood in front of him aswell, so I find him a curious character, but one where he'll have substance over style if he can't have both. I don't think thats too bad a baseline to want to start with.

Even as someone who's remaining positive on Sherwoods management, I can see why some fans find him annoying as I was getting tired of hearing him say '' the players need to get used to a new voice '' . We get that Tim!

Now it's '' getting to know the players ':

This is just a reflection of his inexperience as people who lack experience in a job will be annoying while they get to grips with the task in hand.

Sherwood may be experienced in football but management is on another level for responsibility and pressure, so I'll cut him some slack for now!

I don't really mind what he says in the media so long as it's nothing ridiculous or unprofessional. Keep getting the results and the fans will stop looking for reasons to complain(me included).

Sell Holtby and don't get the results, however, and I'll have his head on a spike <grr>

Definitely going to be a tough game tomorrow, Swansea have been better than their results show and if we can sneak a win it'll be a huge result with City up next.

Especially seeing as AVB apparently didn't want them and Levy & Baldini did.

Apparently Spurs can create some sort of history today by winning 5 away games on the trot for the first time in 50 years.......in classic Spurs style cue drop points today, we always fack up opportunities.

Spurs: Lloris, Walker, Dawson, Chiriches, Rose, Bentaleb, Dembele, Lennon, Eriksen, Chadli, Adebayor. Subs: Soldado, Holtby, Capoue, Naughton, Defoe, Sigurdsson, Friedel.

    4-3-3 / 4-5-1!!!

Makes sense, but I didn't think that Sherwood would do it, to be honest. It'll be interesting to see how this will go.

I left 4-2-3-1 out of my list of formations, but that would work with this team.

    Bentaleb Dembele

    Lennon Eriksen Chadli

    Ade.

That's what I'd like to see.

Swansea can be Spurs-like in that for all their reams of possession, none of it is where
it matters. But with half-decent strikers like Bony, it would probably only end up one way.
So at least Sherwood is showing some nous. And if the performance is ok, it may even
be given a go against Citeh.

    Very happy with that team.
Soldado has been poor recently, so it's nice to see that Sherwood is prepared to mix it up a bit.

I don't think we'll see it as a 4231 or 433 today. It'll be 4411, IMO, with chadli starting behind Adebayor.

It'd be nice to see a good performance from Chadli today, especially after all the speculation this week.

I'm still not impressed by the lack of a holding player. We might get away with it today, perhaps, but it would be very naive to continue with it against City.

I think you speak on behalf of a fair few people there, PNP.
But I've come to realise that it's unlikely we're going to setup like we have in the last 18 months. So now my happiness is based on what is realistically going to happen. A bit like Bentaleb starting over capoue. Just gotta face the fact that we're not going to see much of capoue now.
