so rather than try to pick one , here is my mini list of what i consider the best (you have to take the rough with the smooth here

    1. One Foot in the Grave
    2. Im Alan Partridge
    3. Fawlty Towers
    4. Office
    5. Only Fools and Horses
    6. Extras
    7. Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie
    8. Men Behaving badly
    9. The Young ones

    In no order:

Monty Python (I know it isn't a sitcom, but I couldn't leave it out)
    The Young Ones
    Blackadder
    Peep Show
    Bottom
    Only Fools And Horses
    Spaced
The Thick Of It (again, not technically a sitcom)
    Phoenix Nights
The Simpsons (only the mid-nineties stuff)

I'd have The Fast Show in there, one of the best sketch shows, I'm guessing these aren't your worst?

    Early Doors as well.

    'To the regiment'.

And right on cue Craig Cash's voice comes on the box advertising Sofaworks just as I'm typing this.

    How bizarre.

    Blackadder
    Drop the Dead Donkey
    Fawlty Towers
    Men Behaving Badly
    Red Dwarf
    Spaced
The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin (the first one not the remake)

Between Phoenix Nights, Early Doors and OFAH. Dads Army is in a class of it's own; class being the operative word.
