The simpsons is horrendous nowadays. Every episode near enough has to have a celebrity <doh>

One of the best is when Homer misses church, and has the best day ever topped off by finding a penny.

The first 2 series of Father Ted were brilliant, the Christmas Special and series 3 were mediocre.

The last season of Father Ted is good too, with Kicking Bishop Brennan up the arse and the over 70s football team.

Watching program's again that you found funny on first viewing is always disappointing, never matches the initial impact.

Even worse when watching something that your partner/pal thinks is hilarious and you're thinking wtf. The surprise element in comedy is the ingredient you cannot have with repeats and as I said if someone else is saying "wait till you see this bit!" it rarely if ever strikes you as funny in the slightest.

    My experience anyway.

Yuppie Love is the episode where Del falls through the bar and Rodney meets Cassandra for the first time; this series culminates with Rodney and Cassandra's wedding and also includes episodes such as Danger UXB (the sex dolls), Chain Gang and many other brilliant moments - the séance and Groovy Gang etc.

You say that JBO doesn't feature the girls very much, but they still play a pivotal part in the on-going story; Del meets Raquel again, and Rodney ends up being kicked out after punching the yuppie.

Who's A Pretty Boy is the one where Del, Rodney and Grandad decorate Denzil and Corinne's flat. The bird who played Corinne actually died from a drugs overdose soon after filming that episode. Very sad.

Royal Flush (with the toffs) is actually one of my least favourite episodes; I find Del's actions to be totally out of character and really rather horrible.

Only people of a certain age like Dad's Army.

That kind usually like Last of the Summer Wine too.

Same story line every week but luckily most of the ****s who watch those shows are senile so don't notice.

What was the last season you saw? You been downloading them when they come out?

Some of the episodes of the last couple of seasons have been brilliant, they had a **** patch in the 10-17 seasons but it's funny again now.

They're on season 25 now, it got a lot better. I download the new episodes every monday, the morning after they're released. It's by far the best comedy cartoon series at the mo (after Archer maybe)

    Phoenix Nights was hilarious.

Edit: Hang on, Gambol was dissing Dads Army not Phoenix Nights...

    Dads Army was really good.
