I get the feeling that Gyan came to the UK with us because we came up with the goods at the time and i think it is inevitable he will look further up the league or to London eventually. Teams in the NE are always going to lose these players and if we sell him for £20m+ then so be it. This is my point all along. We can ill afford to cash in on the likes of Jordan because he didnt want to go. He is a lifelong Sunderland fan who was allowed to have his head turned. We should have hung into him, cashed in on Gyan and bought 2 or 3 new strikers. I still maintain it was a huge mistake to sell a lad not on huge wages, who was also happy at the club. Our season may well unravel on such a thing.

Disagree mate, Hendersons sale doesn't bother me as I don't think he was doing it where it matters on the pitch. I was looking forward to watching Gyan this coming season, hopefully with some added support from any new purchases. This is more like one step forward and two steps back.
That's what I keep on trying to tell him. Only time I go on another board is if we are playing that team at the weekend.
I don't find anyone interesting. I just find the topics interesting. There isn't much happening on our board at the moment though apart from a discussion about N'Zogbia which I'm already rather familiar with, so for now, this news about Gyan is rather intriguing - as is most EPL gossip.
I must be in a minority not to be that surprised Gyan may be off. I was saying it a few weeks ago on here and we have discussed amongst the lads on several occassion this season. Also, I think the Journo is Alan Nixon who is saying it on the Mirror site amd not Colin Young - if that makes it anymore relevant I dont know?

I understand where your coming from mate, it still doesn't take the bitter taste away that they are now hawking our best striker around.
I dont think we should be getting too worked up about this, its been along bloody time since I believed anything that bloody rag published. It is notoriously pro geordie and anti mackem and has been for many years.Besides can you honestly see the club flogging Gyan after NQ appealed for bigger crowds last season, they cant be so bloody thick as to not realise that supporters will leave the club in droves if our last remaining big player goes..as discussed earlier in the week , the buggers must read these forums
