I got a website (the one in my sig). Does anyone know how unique visitors work? Some days I get up to 150 unique visitors to it. This might sound dumb but is that something to do with google bots? I know of 20 or 30 people who frequent my site because sometimes they talk about it with me on facebook but the 150 I see some days seems far to many for what is basically a website that shows me banging on things with a sledge hammer or chopping things down with an axe. Can anyone fill me in on that?
Was going to try and help but it turns out you live in some sort of paradise with fruit and animals and small horses. Solve your own problems you blessed prick
i'm sure the wildlife isn't as exotic anyway... not a lot i can help you with, but a unique visitor is a way of counting how many different ip addresses have visited your site. Even if they come back more than once, the same ip will only count as one unique user. Which makes the number seem more lucrative! Could be that your friends are using different ip's when they visit the site each time so they'd come up as different unique visitors but i'm not exactly an expert. Perhaps it measures unique visitors in a different time frame? Is it definitely reset daily?
It is a daily count but it goes into other time frames as well. Perhaps if they are checking with their smarth phones or something it is registering as a different IP address. It isnt important really I was just interested and thought one of you might know. I could pay to have a much more detailed visitor IP history but I dont really care that much. Thanks for the info Jezz.
Isn't a miniature horse a pony? Ducks make better eggs than chickens (and taste better when you get bored of them) Wine......? Had you down as a beer man!
