yes, he's scored 43 in 68 at this level for that basket case of a club. he's scored more than a goal per 2 games since 2009.

the only time I haven't been impressed when watching was when he played us a couple of weeks back, maybe he was sandbagging!

Heard talk they will expect no less than £10m for him. Can see their reasoning. Paid £8m and he's stepped up, so not going to sell him for any less right now in their position in the league.

Christ he's worth it. If we could offload Zamora, Luke 'bloody' Young & Cesar the saving in wages alone would more than cover his fee!

Good luck to em', no one will be willing to pay that. Remy only cost us 8mill, and he was proven at a much higher level.
5.5mill, rising to 7 if we're promoted, would seem fairer.

I havent a clue, but he wanted to come back to England as soon as he went back to Russia, seemed to turn into a bit of a head case.

We were extremely lucky to get our investment back on him (unless this was just some sort of money laundering exercise), since shortly after he moved back to Anzhi their chairman finally came to his senses and let the manager go (who brought Samba back), and shipped out three players (incl. Samba) to Dynamo Moscow

Looks like he once again homesick - hell, for £100,000 per week, I'd gladly take a leave of absence from my family and move over to Russia - he must be laughing all the way to the bank.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Samba

Queens Park Rangers On 13 January 2013, Samba joined Queens Park Rangers for a reported fee of £12.5 million, signing a four-and-a-half year deal.

Following his transfer, QPR's manager Harry Redknapp commented that "Chris is just what we need. He's a monster. Great in the air, quick, a leader, strong, fantastic in both boxes, hard as nails. He's a proper centre-half. He was willing to take a massive pay cut."

Return to Anzhi On 2 July 2013, Anzhi Makhachkala agreed a fee of £12m to bring Samba back to Russia after only half a season with Queens Park Rangers, following their relegation from the Premier League. Rangers were looking to cut their wage bill after dropping out of the English Premier Division, with Samba one of the highest earners on a reported £100,000 per week.

Dynamo Moscow On 29 August 2013, Dynamo Moscow signed three players from Anzhi, with Samba being one of them, he wears the 84 shirt. Although Samba has already had strong links back with English clubs because that is where his family lives.

Chris Samba 'set for Premier League return with either West Ham or Newcastle' (Nov 28, 2013)

The defender is believed to be struggling to settle in Moscow and would welcome a move back to England

Samba style: Chris Samba could be back in the Premier League in January

Chris Samba is currently at the centre of a tug of war between West Ham and Newcastle, according to the Daily Express.

The 29-year-old defender is ready to end his time in Russia and move to England for a third time.

Homesick Samba first moved to England in 2007 when Blackburn Rovers snapped him up for a cut price £450k.

But after five years at Ewood Park he left these shores for moneybags Anzhi Makhachkala when his contract ran out.

His time in Russia was believed to be strained by the fact that his young family had not moved over with him.

The Congolese defender returned to the Premier League at the start of this year after QPR forked out £12m for him in a bid to avoid the drop into the Championship.

Their survival campaign failed, though, and Samba returned to Anzhi for a similar fee in the summer only to be shipped out to current club Dinamo Moscow weeks later.

Reports in Russia suggest Samba has failed to settle again and the club are in negotiations with West Ham and Newcastle about a move back to the Premier League.

    You are right I don't.

I said it here months ago, with your squad and your resources you should be pissing this league. The fact you arnt is all down the saggy chops not being as good as he or quite a few of you think he is.

How can saying you have the best squad in the division be wumming or bleating.
If you don't go up I would imagine most of you will consider it a monumental underachievement.
Or are YOU happy in this league.

Not quite sure how we are underachieving given the stats on how many relegated teams get promoted in the first year.
