Chadli doesn't seem to impressed with the speculation about his future:

Decided to be a little more discrete and replaced it with a picture of White Hart Lane with our logo imposed over it and the simple tagline COYS.

Fairplay to him. We all take the piss at times (boss more than most ;) ), but it's nice to see a "no nonsense" straight to the point comment like that.
That'll certainly do him a massive favour with the fans. Let's hope his performances pick up and we unlock his potential. <ok>

Sorry to say that Chadli reminds me of Heskey.

Really? I've gotten to think Chadli is a good player, after hating his attitude for a while. He and Townsend are the two players who get us on the front foot on the left, and he tends to produce good crosses while Townsend seems to always produce shots right at the GK. It looks like Eiriksen should play somewhere, but I'm leaning towards him behind Ade in a 4-4-1-1, with Chadli, probably, or Townsend, maybe, on the left. Rose needs help, at least against pacy wingers, and Eiriksen won't give it to him.

Chadli is a willing defender from what i've seen of him.
I don't understand the Chadli bashing, i've seen nothing to suggest he's the poor player lots seem to suggest.

It's worrying the stuff we hear agents coming out with these days. The rumours will always come about from time to time and I don't think he needs to come out and say anything when there's a few stories in the papers but when your own agent is undermining your commitment it's great to see him come out and sense things straight. Chiriches's agent is another dickhead that likes stirring things up from the looks of things.

Good points there, I like posts that go against the grain...particularly when they're right. Walker doesn't cross much from deep does he. Much better in his mind to get to the byline himself and more often than not that ends up with a corner...which we're fantastic at aren't we? <whistle> I'm of the opinion that Naughton hasn't been too bad in his right position, gets on with his stop/start career with us without any display of fuss that I've seen, good attitude. We're not going to find an immaculate right back to play 2nd fiddle, perhaps better the devil you know.

I'm pleased to see this from Tim how important attitude is, doesn't matter how good a player is, if he's more interested in the WC than fighting to play for Spurs he can go. I'm pleased Chadli has shown the right attitude in his latest tweet, good to read that so soon.

If I remember correctly didn't he say that Vlad was using us as a stepping stone to eventually join Chelsea before the guy had even put pen to paper with us? Utter ****er, what a way to help make your clients arrival nice and simple.

As for Chadli, good on him. Great to see players not mincing their words. I still believe he'll become a very good player, I've mentioned before that Cove told us he was a slow starter so I'm prepared to be patient with him. He's arguably shown better glimpses of "magic" than Lamela and yet comes in for a ridiculous amount of stick at times.

A Goal.com journalist has reported that we're interested in re-signing Berbatov. Before anyone rubbishes it, Goal have been very well informed at times in regards to Spurs-related stories/ transfer news, THOUGH it's usually through the work of Greg Stobart, this time it's Wayne Veysey reporting the story and while I can't remember hearing much from him in terms of Spurs before, Goal has proven to be arguably the most trusted source of info in recent times, not that it says much as I think 99% of journo written articles are bollocks but Goal every now and then have shown to have some substance in their stories. Here's the link for anyone interested:

Apparently a deal was almost done for him to come back when he left United. Berbatov and his advisors thought it was a done deal, but Levy pulled the plug at the last minute, so he went to Fulham.

I can't help but think that if berbatov had a second stint with us we wouldn't see much from him. Just collecting his pension IMO.

It was after, he's not quite stupid enough to put his cut at risk. Agents seem more talkative these days and it's worrying because it means they're becoming more brazen.

On Chadli, I like him and I'm glad he's staying but I don't recall any moments of magic, least of all in the PL. I'm curious to see where he ends up playing for us as he looked solid but unspectacular on the left, more productive on the right and Sherwood has mentioned him playing off the striker.

As someone else said on here a few weeks back, Chadli's built like a brick ****house yet is very easily bullied off the ball and he doesn't seem as willing to get the ball back as Lennon or Lamela.

I've clocked that, he really should use his physical size, I can only assume he's placid guy and not a nutter, which would be a shame, if he had that edge in his game he could be a battering ram. Different player positionally, but to make the point about aggression, imagine Sandro with that frame! He's also a towering player who i think should work more on his heading, he gets on the end of quite a few, but his timing and technique needs a bit.

There was a CL game where Barca played Chelsky.
Ronaldinho surged forward towards the box and Terry tried a cynical body check.
But he just flattened Terry to the ground and went on to shoot and score.

That is what Chadli should be capable of, given his physique.
Dembele similarly when he runs direct.

Was that Chelsea away, when they had Eto? Ronaldinho was strong back then,

As for Chadli, He's a good athlete and has a similar type of physique to Bale and Ronaldo but these players are more aggressive. Chadli doesn't look strong, more like someone who belongs on the front copy of mens health, one of these metrosexual men who walk around with man bags!

I can remember another big burly center forward we signed who could easily be knocked off the ball until our manager and a few players (Mike England) started to give him the hard treatment in training game. This resulted in him becoming England's best center forward for two seasons by knocking opponents about AND scoring many unforgettable goals.

    That player was Martin Chivers!
