Seems as though he'll stay to the end of the season whatever happens, and make a decision on his future based on liebherr's ambitions (or any potential new owner).
He'll stay at least until the end of his contract after next season (unless he's sacked). He's employed by the club not any one member of staff, and you can bet his contract doesn't make it easy for him to walk away halfway through it.
Apparently some interesting stuff being said to the written press about yesterday, but quotes embargoed until 11! I get the impression he's waiting to see what Katherina has planned before thinking about his long term future past this season. Completely fair enough.
To me, what I gleamed from that was... I'm gonna stick this season out and see where we are with the "process" in the summer. Process in terms of a takeover, or the transition to life under Liebherr post-Cortese?
Poch always impresses me with his thoughtful answers and I also believe he will see out his contract as long as the rug isn't pulled from beneath him, ie selling players.
Love the conspiracy theories keeping the Cortese dream alive. Its like an incredibly well spun novel.
It seem's to me that went as well as we could of wished for, first aim now is to get to Feb 1st and still have our major players playing for us, then we can all just enjoy the last few months of the season untill it all kicks off again in June
You sound very sure - I'd be surprised if Nicola Cortese himself was able to say that with such conviction. Who knows what will happen?
