and two touches is all it took Sergio Aguero to score tonight. I bet Robinson is glad he went off half time. Five nil at the moment. Absolutely ruthless and a class above every team in the Premiership. Anyone still feeling confident about Saturday?
I think we will see our biggest defeat of the season. When Man City are in the mood and they get their passing game going they seem to have a couple of extra players on the pitch.
When we shift through the gears we are a hell of a side but palace and hull have both shown how to plat at the Etihad, both should have taken the lead and it's anyone's game if you can play on the break with a lead
I would just like to re-introduce you to Breezy, I'm sure the old Pensioner from Porthcawl remembers him affectionitly!................
It is 3 points and we are a lot better than Blackburn. The team will not go there expecting to lose. We know exactly how they can play but since we beat them we have a few extra players. jck
There is no way we'll be going there not expecting to lose JCK. Players watch TV, Man City have only failed to beat Bayern at home this season. They are different class to us, they owe us one too. PL record defeat looms if we get too open against this lot. Their finishing is frightening, so few chances are missed and that's why they keep racking up cricket scores. The players need to keep their heads up however early we go behind, if they stop being organised and working hard MC will destroy us. I don't think Pellegrini will make the mistakes he made against Palace by sending out a changed team with a sloppy attitude. Even when the gulf in class is so big a small drop in performance from MC is all it took to make the match very close. I think he learnt his lesson. I'd take a narrow defeat now. Anything other than defeat would surely be up there with the best results in our history!!
Pellegrini and the whole of citeh will want to humiliate us because of that opening day defeat we inflicted upon them. Must find a way of watching this at the weekend.
This is quite correct Of course they will. Any other thoughts fly in the face of reality. That doesn't mean they wont be hoping for something from the game. Every opposition side knows how they play, but it doesn't help anyone, and who are these "few extra players" we've got since we beat them? Eikrem and 18 year old Daehli have landed, but I must have missed the rest. Do you think they'll add enough to beat Man City? EDIT: - just realised as we played them early in the season, the "new players" you could be referring to might be KTC, Odemwingie and Brayford who might not have been signed by then. Quite honestly, apart from KTC, I wish we hadn't.

It's the finishing we saw last night that is the biggest difference between the top 4-6 teams and the rest of us. We can't afford that type of goalscorer, but any one of the 3 scorers last night in our team and we'd have beaten WH. We have to accept that we don't have (and won't have in the forseeable future) that type of scorer. We do need better than we have though. The problem teams have with Man City is that they have 3 strikers who are on fire and are trying to outdo one another. No complacency, but lots of competition for places. If they stop scoring they get dropped.
I honestly believe our only hope is to score early on, probably from a set piece and batten down the hatches. No shame in loosing to a team that is on fire and scoring for fun. This is an unforgiving side who never let up for the whole 90+ minutes. More chance against United this season.
What sets them apart is what they bring off the bench. That's why they can keep it up for 90 mins. Last night, Negredao and Dzeko ripped Blackburn a new arse hole and within a minute of one going off, Aguero shoved their balls up there. Unrelenting. I know we won't have the quality, but it's the depth we need to get. Whatever our standard is, it needs to be maintained for 90 mins. Whe we make substitutions our performance drops off.
have we ever been a position when we expect 2 turn over the opposition without breaking a sweat?..................I don't think ive ever known that kind of confidence at my club tbh................man city on the other hand can expect the expected, another win and on they go in thy destiny for the quadruple chance. back 2 the orig question>>>>>>>>>>Sergio is top end and well worth the admission fee on his own, that's how much I enjoy watching him play.,,,and if the truth be known there isn't many I can say that about anymore I can tell thee.
