    Emirates Flyer 10/3

Strongly fancied by the Bhoys in Blue, not Appelby tho so the stakes are a tad smaller on this one.

Allowing for my 0.5 point saver on Quaddick Lake that's 4.5 points profit. But then lost 4 of those on Une Artiste 6/5F (took 9/4), by a nose :steam:

Ron: I haven't a clue what you are talking about with this points business, but if you told me you had cleaned-up and won, say, 10k, I would believe you! <laugh> Am just a (very) simple win or sometimes e/w punter, that'll have to do for me. I am quite sure, however, that over the long run, multiple bets such as the Yankee are a one-way ticket to Carey Street (unless a guy is extremely lucky).

I don't actually place bets Swanny. So I just stake theoretical points. A point can be £1, 1 Euro, £10 etc. So if I were backing in £10 stakes my bet would have looked like this:

    Wincanton 14.50
Ut Majeur Aulmes (5/1) 2 points ie £20
    Quick Decision (9/1) 1 point ie £10
    Alaivan (14/1) 1 point ie £10
    Brinestine (9/2 ) 1 point ie £10

    Then later 0.5 point ie £5 Quaddick Lake (11/1 B365 & WH)

Total stake £55. Return on Quick Decision £100. Profit on race £45

Then I had 4 points ie £40 on Une Artiste at 9/4 bet lost

Overall profit on day, a measley £5 <laugh>

Well it's not easy to avoid a bit of voyerism, especially when she leans across to replace the blue.

    Apparently <whistle>
