They can dress it up how they want but it smacks of good old fashioned NIMBYism to me - which, when all is said and done, is not necessarily a bad thing.
Always liked Bristol, though I haven't been for a while. Full of hippies and Rastafarians. Tricky, Finlay Quaye, Massive Attack all come from there. definately something in the water (psilocybin I think). Anyway, every ****'s ****ed up on ganja and cider so it's no wonder they haven't built anything since that bridge.
Your'e not wrong. I worked down there twice last week and it stunk of weed just about everywhere. Doesnt bother me one bit, just an observation Good place to shop, sadly closed down there branch of Hooters
Must have been a good place for gigs in the early 80s: Chaos UK, Chaotic Dischord, Disorder, Vice Squad all from Bristol and The Subhumans living about 10 miles away.
I like Bristol. Lived here for 12 years now Cardiff is better mind. Could certainly do with a football stadium although could do with a decent team to play in it!
