hughton has tended to be over-cautious in bringing players back from injury. i hope he isn't on saturday and they both start, if that's the best for the team
Has anyone heard any news on Howson? All I heard was he felt something in his back before the Fulham game on boxing day, but nothing since? Great news to have Pilks and Tettey returning. Hopefully be able to field Johnson and Tettey in holding roles, giving Fer license to get forward soon.
I think it's just a case of waiting for the problem to settle down. Frustrating how long he's been out though.
So that will be three new players coming in to the squad, I wonder who will make way. I imagine it will be fox, Murphy and Becchio?
Depends how we line up really. Hughton seems to like having 2 strikers on the bench, so if it's 4-4-2 I expect all 4 strikers will make the squad, if not Becchio'll probably drop out. Would expect Fox to drop out, and with Snodgrass, Redmond and now Pilkington and Gutierrez ahead of him, I wouldn't think Murphy'll make the bench either. So I guess, probably all 3!
I think both will start on the bench. Perhaps Gutierrez to start and Pilks to come on if need be. Similarly for Tettey coming on to replace Johnson, who's played a lot recently. Good to have choices again.
Hey I was being optimistic!, I just hope the squad can get their confidence back, hopefully the return of these two will help , lets all hope for the best and drink ourselves stupid if we lose!
