  1. I had no imvolvement in naming my first two. I sacrificed my rights for the surname as we're not married. However, I know she won't give this one a different surname to the others :)

  4. Both have random first names. However, the eldest has my first name as his middle name (which is also her bothers name), the youngest has my middle name has his middle name so its hardly from her side.

  6. When my eldest was born, there was complications near the end and my boys heart near enough stopped resulting in a emergency section. I wasn't allowed in the room so had to wait in the waiting room. That was far worse then with the second where I was in the room and saw them butcher her! However (to the point) when the nurse came to me and said "congratulations, you have a baby boy", my response was "never mind that, how's *****?". I can honestly say that I didn't give a flying **** about my boy at that moment in time which I find slightly disturbing when i think about it now <yikes>

  7. Section is booked for three weeks on Tuesday so already started giving apologies for meetings etc at work, plus planning for me not being here too.

look you are a man... no man wants to be left with two kids to look after on his own. its the lazyness.

plus... babies are ugly and don't do anything until they are 2 that men can relate to aside from going for the boob..

I dont think so, all very stressful, worrying and emotional etc

And yeah obv you'll be off for 3 weeks. At least its not your first and can probably quite easily fall back into a routine from when your other 2 were first born

It all took me a bit by suprise (feeding every 3 hrs and being awake at all hours etc) with it being the first but I think if we have a 2nd you're obv a bit more experienced and thats only a good thing

However, having one/two in your case to look after and then another! <yikes> At least your boys are a bit older now

  12. You'd think so but this is going to be very different. When the other two were born, I didn't have to make school trips whereas I'm going have to do three school runs this time (eldest is full time, youngest is at nursery). Also, both my other two slept through the nights (still do) but the movement patterns are very different this time too so suspect its going to be the opposite.

I can tell you my first slept through the night after 2 weeks. the second did 4 hours max up to 14 months.

School runs are ok.. more or less thats scheduled right? but no sleep and you can bet one screaming = 2 screaming and then its chaos... sigh....

its the f'n thing that she'll actually want to to do 50% of nights and do school runs and and and..... you'd think they'd be grateful for... eh? <laugh>

  14. I've been fortunate with feeds because she's breast fed for the first few months which obviously gets me out of it :p Plus, if they wake up in the night I refused to get up as I had to go to work in the morning, she has nine months of work to take care of that stuff <ok>

By school runs, I'm not fussed about it once they are out of the hospital but its going to stop me from visiting the hospital during the day whilst they are still in there. Because she's having a section, it will be at least four days too.

  18. I'll just have to worry about the other two as the new one will be the mrs' "baby" once it arrives. She did similar when the second arrived <doh> I'm the opposite though, not too fussed about babies, prefer them once the become toddlers etc <ok>

Yeah I have to do one early shift a week due to me having to work and my insisting on having one day at the weekend for a lie in as ive been at work all week

Thats what we do, I cant argue with that tbh

  20. You've done more than I ever did <laugh>

Thing is, my mrs didn't let either of our boys out her sight for the first six to ten months so she made it very difficult for me to do anything else. However, when the youngest arrived, I did take the eldest out the way a fair few times including taking him to footy with me meaning I couldn't play <grr> #sacrifice #realproblems
