Just because a bid has been accepted doesn't mean Lambert will want to or have to leave. If he does go I'll be interested to hear what he says.

It doesn't make any sense to sell Lambert right now. It's going to be tough to sign a new player with all the upheaval at the club, and not even sure if there are targets lined up or who is going to talk to the agents or sign the papers. Without Lambert, the club is less attractive to buyers as there may be some concern we can stay up as well as all the negative publicity it will get. And KL has much more important things to concern herself with right now than the transfer market. The only way it makes sense to accept a transfer bid for Lambert is if he has told them he wants to go.
If Lambert goes, I want more than ever for West Ham to go down, with Rickie in tow! And then bust! Just to underline what a stupid move he would have made.
Rumours that Sullivan and Gold are going back into porn to keep West Ham afloat, and want Rickie as their main onscreen stud, following rumours that Andy Carroll can't perform under pressure.
BBC Radio Solent's sports editor Adam Blackmore: West Ham assistant manager bats away question about Rickie Lambert bid as "speculation".
Did anyone pick up at the end of one of Ashton's articles on mail online, that Rickie was allegedly due to have a meting with Cortese at the training ground about his 7m move to West Ham. This meeting was then cancelled. Don't know if it is bull or not.
Even if the £7m bid mentioned had indeed been accepted I can't see it being a quick sale now. If nothing else the change at the top will mean that most things are reassessed including the club's stance on player values and worth to the team. Also it was mentioned by a few that we should accept valid bids and if he was loyal Rickie would refuse the switch. I can't see him going to West Ham unless he is told he is not wanted here.
