Sorry to go off on a tangent, but looking at birthdays made me wonder who I shared a birthday with...

    There's a few good'uns in there:

Jules Verne (Wrote Journey to the Center of the Earth, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea, and Around the World in Eighty Days)
Dmitri Mendeleev (Created the Periodic Table)
    James Dean
John Williams (Composer of iconic movie soundtracks such as Jaws, Star Wars, Superman, Indiana Jones, E.T., Jurassic Park)
Hristo Stoichkov (Bulgarian football legend, one of my fave ever players)
    Gary Coleman
    Aidy Boothroyd
    Seth Green
Ralf Little (most famous for playing Antony in The Royle Family)
    Carl Jenkinson

Thanks Mrs BMB. It will be an honour to join. Hopefully our membership will grow rather than shrink as the years pass <party>

Yardley are you by any chance related to one of the cricketing heros of my youth...the great Norman Yardley, captain of Yorkshire and England, and colleague of the inimitable Sir Leonard "364 world Test record against the Oz at Headingley in 1938" Hutton. ???? I still have a little cricket bat in my office with all the signatures of both teams.

I can answer that Canada. Yardley is the place in the US where he lives. My husband was in his class for 6 years at Riley High School in Hull.

Yours would be a **** football team though.

Also mine has a midget in Gary Oldman (RIP), so I win.

    Katy Brand

If I am honest, I'm struggling Canada. Sorry.

Actually, scratch that stalemate, because i've just found out I have the same birthday as Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki in Thor and The Avengers.

Your magic is useless against a Norse God.

How do you not know who Suggs is! Even if you aren't British!

Have you heard of the band Madness?

The others, fair enough. Bosnich was a goalkeeper in the Premier League for Man Utd and Aston Villa during the mind-to-late nineties.

I presume you don't know who this Bill Bailey is either.

Never heard of Suggs, Madness, or Bill Bailey Macca. I'm 75 so my musical tastes are probably a lot different than you young guys. Sorry. But I do know who Norman Yardley, Len Hutton, Dennis Compton, Billy Bly etc are.

Thanks Roary. I lived in Vancouver 52 years ago when I emigrated. Had a little apartment on Beach Ave in the West End....short walk from Stanley Park. Great city! My two oldest kids were born there.
