I'm not savvy where torrents are concerned. Is it just click and watch on the site? Do I download to watch? Is there any danger of virus's? Any help much appreciated
There isn't much point in torrents anymore. If you download Realplayer, it comes with a flash downloader that you can use to download any online flash media. It's also handy for downloading songs from Youtube, as it comes with a converter for MP3s. As for watching stuff, I've always used http://www.watchseries.to/ but sometimes they get caught out by the FBI, so the domain changes from time to time. Best not to favourite it just in case.
Just download them off any torrent site. EZTV (a torrent group) do every tv series you can think of, even stuff that's 20 or 30 years old. They upload their torrents on all the torrent sites but also have their own page. Best to look for them. NowTV get most the American series, can't fault it for a paltry £4.99 a month. Well worth getting, you get 10 live sky channels with it and all (although I never watch them), bargain. You're better off just buying the full sky package than streaming off those **** free sites. They overload your computer with crap faster than you can blink (that's how they make their money tigre). I'm convinced you'd spend less on the full sky package than replacing corrupt hard drives and motherboards constantly. Stay away from them, if you want to pirate, use reputable torrent authors. There's enough of them about.
You download to watch. Risk of virus if you download the wrong stuff, there's ****ers who falsely label thing and snare people who aren't clued up in it all. There's also people who encode the videos with **** the exact same way these 'watch free online' browser streaming sites do. If you don't really know what you're doing, best to research which authors are reputable and don't release dirty uploads and only download their releases. EZTV, ETTV, YIFY to barely scratch the surface are all good honest up loaders. Far better odds with torrents to avoid viruses, even for the less savvy, when compared to the 100% dead cert guarantee on browser streaming sites.
One thing though, specially with the clampdown on piracy that's starting to come about, if you decide to use torrents make sure you set up a proxy server to hide your IP as anyone can see the IP address of everyone that's hosting or downloading any torrent. If your IP is masked there's no way it can be traced to you.
