Which is odd if true. End of season is 4 months away, a long time in football and to make your mind up that you'll go then, now, seems odd. Go if that's how your feel, but hard to say how you'll feel in 4 months.

We need a statement on our future before anything else.

You can like the organisation you work for, and you can feel proud of it. But if the innards get ripped out, and the stuff you work (or in a footballers case play) for pulled away, you tend to either follow the people you believed in or get out (unless a shed load of money is thrown at you to compensate).

I don't think it'll be Lambert. This club has given him everything he could have ever dreamed of and more. He's now a millionaire International footballer. If he walks away, it will be because the owner want's to get rid.

Your utter belief in Rickie is kinda endearing!

I think that's LTL's point. The club didn't give him that - Pardew, Adkins, Pochettino and of course, Cortese gave him that. It seems as if very soon, none of that will be here.

In your eyes it was the club. In Rickie's eyes it might have been NC

His improvements on the pitch are down to himself. Pardew changed his outlook on football, Markus paid the fee. Nicola hasn't had any direct influence on Lambert's career. Adkins and Mauricio continue to play him because he is now a quality player.

Either way, it's all speculation at the moment. But i still refuse to believe that he would want to leave.

That's a bit weird Olly. Why do you refuse to believe that? The club's in disarray and another club have offered to double his wages. As far as I'm aware, he is only human.

Well I've been out all evening and come back to quite the ****storm!

Seems to be a lot of speculation going on, to be honest I don't see any reason to jump to conclusions. Cortese was popular with the players, but they are contracted to the club, not to him. Pochettino made a lot of noise before but I don't see why he would leave if he continues to get the backing of the board. He's in a good job and it's doing his reputation no harm, he's just moved his family over and is improving his English, I don't see him being too keen to leave.

And as for the players, they are a tight group and I don't see the likes of Lallana and Shaw being as keen to go as some seem to think, and if they stay, why shouldn't others?

Apart from anything else, a club with a decent squad and pushing into the top half is worth a lot more to a buyer than one which is losing its stars and heading for relegation.

Tomorrow's press conference will certainly be interesting, but I don't see any real reason to be too worried.

Disarray? For now, we still have the complete coaching staff and we're 9th in the Premier League. It's not that bad. Yet.

Fair point PTF. You've often been the voice of reason under these conditions. I think I've been a little swept along on a wave of doom personally, ably supported by the press. The real kick for me will be if Mauricio goes, then I do fear implosion. But as you say, let's all tune in at 15:00 tomorrow.

@JWTelegraph: Depending on who you talk to, some very very different accounts of reason for Cortese departure today and Liebherr's plans....
