It obviously caused a serious injury so it obviously was bad, but I'm not sure you can say that it was made with "Excessive force or brutality". He didn't really hit him all that hard, but it twisted his knee. The impact itself was not the worst. I'm not excusing it at all, I'm just trying to say why I think the referee didn't give a red. I mean we have seen plenty of that sort of thing not cause an injury, and we have seen a lot harder impacts get yellow. To be perfectly honest, without knowing that Nasri was seriously injured, I'm not sure I would have given a red; definitely yellow though of course. Agree with what you say about the comments, sometimes I wonder if trying to show some class is out of fashion these days.
Chelsea are apparently going to buy Matic for around £25m. Yes, the same Matic they sold two years ago for £4m.
I don't see how that makes it any better, you're still buying back a player the club was happy to let go.
Club didn't want to let him go, that's why the deal for Luiz almost fell through. We blinked first and let them have Matic whilst promising we'd keep a close eye on his career there. I'd rather us have looked at alternatives but for £20m it isn't bad given the current market for players.
Agreed. Though it would be dull if everyone saw the world through the same window. Although I might disagree with some of the comments people make I do admire their honesty when they know that the 'politically correct brigade' will quickly jump on them. I could never wish serious injury on anyone, but I confess to detesting any player I feel has disrespected Arsenal so I can't ever wish the likes of Nasri, RVP and a host of others any success.....
Are you kidding me? He had no chance of getting the ball and just lashed out with excessive force to take him out. Red all ****ing day. please log in to view this image
I don't really have any ill feeling towards Nasri. Not that it matters, I wouldn't wish injury on even the biggest rectangle headed judas
He did manage to do the European 3 rolls after (which you don't with serious injury). Wouldn't mind betting he did his knee doing the rolling.

Also, what the hell is going on at Southampton? Looks like it's all going tits up, so it's pretty good that we face them in a few weeks time.
So that's Holtby, Chadli and Lamela all looking to jump ship. I'd expect to see Soldildo looking for a cut price move back to Spain at some point and Adebayor agitating for a move when he inevitably gets his knickers in a twist over whatever it is next. Paulinho, Sandro and Vertonghen could be the players who some of the better teams might look to poach. Talk about Rats leaving a sinking ship though eh ?
Found this on twitter and thought you lot might enjoy it, very light-hearted. Fabianski has a nice shooting stroke!
Sorry, all back to normal. Pochettino is staying, we're not selling anyone. The club isn't being sold. Case closed.
