Mail article says some players are preparing transfer requests which in all honesty sounds a bit over the top. However, does anyone have any ideas who they might be talking about?
No, No & No. I support, have always supported and always will support Southampton Football Club. Not individuals who are passing through. My enjoyment of the club isn't based upon "success" or "ambition" or a "corporate vision". Cortese did some good things for Saints. He has decided to leave the club. His choice. We move on.
Simon Williams - Club Online Content Editor and Programme Writer: "Proud to be associated with the club's rise over the last five years. The hard work will continue #saintsfc"
I'm quite looking forward to the rumours of various consortiums, oligarchs, gun runners and NFL owners looking to buy us
Morgan was quoted last time cortese's future was in doubt. I should think Shaw is a dead cert. I would hope Lallana is invested enough in the club to stay even if the european dream is kiboshed.
Well, I'd guess Ramirez, Yoshida, possibly Osvaldo, and just maybe Schneiderlin. Can't see anyone else wanting away just yet. Thing is, they all bought into the ambition. They don't know where that is at the moment.
Spider is an interesting one. Didn't Leon Crouch sign him? or potentially Rupert Lowe. Cortese had nothing to do with convincing him to join, has he ever had to convince him to stay? We'll probably never know.
FFS, they are just paid to kick a ball around. Osvaldo & Ramirez & Wanyama didn't come to Saints because of our "ambitious chairman" they came here because we paid them and their previous clubs the most money. Simple as that. They are contracted to Southampton FC, not Cortese FC. I guess that sign at Staplewood & St Mary's that "THE NAME ON THE FRONT OF THE SHIRT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE NAME ON THE BACK" probably is just the bullshit it appeared to be eh?
Lowe signing, convinced to stay probably in the league one years. edit: maybe later http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...ed-about-cortese-pochettino-situation-3958142 tribal football, sorry
According to Chris Perry, who was of course a Saints player during Cortese's first season - yes he did.
I agree, but these players didn't just join for a "project" and to be a part of Nicola Cortese' vision. They joined the club to be a part of the most lucrative division in the world. We pay these players fortunes a week, so for some to think they're all automatically going to leave is naive.
I kinda like the idea of Obi-Wan Cortese - "If you strike me down Darth Liebherr, I shall become more powerful than you could possibly imagine"......
Oh TSS I'm landing this entire affair right at your door I'm afraid..... please log in to view this image
The posting from Hotbovril started me thinking about potential buyers and Dalian Wanda makes a lot of sense especially if they develop the Ford site to include hotels, cinemas etc to enhance their core entertainment business
I'm not so sure about that. I remember it being Pardew who claimed he had convinced him to stay and play regularly. I know Schneiderlin wanted to leave to stay in the picture for the French U21's squad after their manager told him he wouldn't be selected in League One.
