This story will be interesting to see unfold. Apparently the owners want to sell. Could be a good litmus test to see how many buyers there are out there wanting to acquire a premier league club (albeit one of the less fashionable clubs like us).
we could need Southampton to take points off the rest TBH . its all gone a bit silly in the boardrooms , Here , Cardiff , Southampton (im sure somethings happening at Newcastle ) and add the rumours about Villa and Red Bull , though mostly based on Houlliers appointment at RB . crackerjack!
30 pts in the bag. Very very unlikely - it would have to be a collapse of titanic proportions - even worse then ours during 2008/9
This ^^^^ though if things become unstable I don't see why as Stuart suggests that we couldn't overtake them! A couple of days ago I looked at the table and thought if we stay 10th it will do for me, as we'll never make up that gap. However, this trouble plus our new signing(s), and I can see us getting a lift and finding the net a bit more, so who knows! I think Pochettino will stay in the short/medium term.
he aspired to be the best chairman in the country but after watching our very own AA yesterday he knew he would never fulfil his dream.
There's the laggards of which we are top. Then there's Soton in a league of their own, then there's the Big Boys. Top laggard team would be massive but top team outside the biggest behemoths would be even better and a real wake up call to the football world.
Could be tough times ahead for Southampton as they need a manager and a chairmen. There aren't many "Top 10" managers about at the minute, but I would have said that before they got Pochettino so who knows.
I haven't followed this story. Sounds mental though. What's the owner left over? What's his relationship with Pocchetino that means he'll go too?
I see Shaw going to Chelsea, they need a left back and probably have more pulling power than Man Utd. If Fergie was there I'd probably say he'd be going there, but Moyes seems to sit around with his thumb up his arse.
Them or the Man Hunters are probably more likely. But the red devils are desperate for a left back next season themselves.
Basically owner died and daughter took over, daughter hates football, chairman hired Pochettino, and owner doesn't get on with chairman. Chairman has handed in resignation, Pochettino said all along he'd go if chairman went.
