    Hello lads,

Everton Fan here, just came on to congratulate you on the signing of Jelavic.

I think he will be a good investment for you and you should all be very happy with this acquisition.

As a season ticket holder and avid away fan, I have seen Jelavic frequently enough to pass on some feedback.

In Jelavic, you have signed a player who can find those pockets of space in the box and is clinical in front of goal. He has a beautiful technique when striking the ball and will get into dangerous positions more often than not. If your midfielders can find him, he'll score goals.

The only thing that let him down toward the end of his stint with us was his confidence seemed to have hit an all time low. Having said that, Martinez seemed to give him a little extra dose of confidence towards the end (See his brace VS QPR).

I have no doubts he'll become a fans favourite and it won't be long till your fans will be chanting 'Jelavic, Jealvic, Jela Jela-vic, Na na na na na na na na na na' to the tune of 'Give It Up' by 'KC & The Sunshine Band'.

Good luck for the rest of the season lads, bar against us, of course!

    Thanks for that.

I have seen bits of him but of course you can't judge until you see him in the flesh. What is his movement like? Thats something we are really lacking currently and i am hoping Jelavic will bring that.

    Thanks Ron,
Potentially one of the best ever City strikers on our hands & with his brace vs QPR he might be feeling good already
Oh and your Chairman is class too :)
    A model to all others
Good luck with a CL spot! would be much deserved

    Thanks Ron.

I know we have a Gem in Jelavic, lost his form a tad and has low confidence, but he'll be just what we need to get the goals and stay up.

Even though the Long deal is constantly brought up and no one knows what's going on with it, I can't help but feel a little bit giddy at the prospect of having Long and Jelavic as our strikeforce, with our midfield pinging balls to them and smashing them in the back of the net.

I have a bet with a colleague of mine that Jelavic will get more than 5 goals this season for us. Easiest £10 i'll ever make I reckon.

He's a classic poacher. He's going to be in and around the box. The problem with the current Hull strikers is that they like play like wingers. The closer you are to the goal higher the probability of scoring.

His movement is one of his best assets. He likes to linger on the shoulder of the last man. He doesn't have lightning pace but he's not slow by any means. He'll get caught offside quite often but that's owing to the way he plays. He'll also run the channels for you, all day long.

His hold up play is also top notch!

Brilliant post sir, and thanks for such a great point of view on our board!
Unfortunately we'll have to think of a new Jelavic - as Mr Elmohamady has "Give It Up" for his name.

Any thoughts for a new song gentlemen?

Thanks Ron and Mark. He sounds exactly what we need...and have been missing. I'm so excited for Saturday I'll probably be up all Friday night. And thank you Steve and Mr.Allam for making this happen. And to Everton and Martinez for playing it straight. Good luck to you guys for the rest of the season!!

That's depending on how you guys play mind. Hopefully he won't need to run the channels for you. Just put those balls in the box, he won't miss.

    :(

What about something like "You're my Jelavic" to the tune of Wonderwall?

"Said maybe, you're gonna be the one to save me,
And after all, your my Jelavic"

Probably rubbish but first thing I thought of.

    That's pretty poor.

There's nowt wrong with Give It Up, we are more likely to sing it about Jelavic than Elmo to be fair...

I'd love to hear a chant that was labeled by the communist propaganda machine as being Nazi.

ZA DOM SPREMI, which means for FOR THE HOMELAND BE READY

The saying is over 500 years old when Croatians fought the Turk invasions. Very cool stuff.

Hell Joe Simunic got a 10 game ban over it after the Iceland game, just shows how much FIFA have no testicles basically removing him from the WC.

Imagine this, just for ****s and giggles being chanted at Hull.
