Southampton face nightmare scenario of losing Cortese

Perhaps Cortese is just sexist and can't stomach input from a woman?

Adrian Durham on talkSport was trying on the point that the fans come last in all of this, when he referred to the managers, players and staff loyalty to Cortese, and it being very odd that their loyalty is to him and not the club. When one fan came on and mentioned that although NC comes across as a cold fish on the media, those that surround him are very close because he looks after them, and that he commands tremendous loyalty and that the fans are very loyal too, Durham stopped pushing his angle from that point onward.

The thing is, what the media don't sense, and have never felt like we did is that SFC were down and out, finished. SFC practically didn't exist anymore. Cortese got Liebherr to put up the money, simply because he didn't have the dosh himself, and then proceeded to mastermind the club out of League One to the present position. Put simply, there was an excellent chance back then, that if those two hadn't got it together to buy the club, this city might have been the former home of two professional sports, now departed. Speedway and Football. Now if that doesn't command some loyalty I'd like to know what does.

And it does matter who is in charge, as far as I'm concerned. I don't support buildings and infrastructure, I support people. And if they turn out to be the wrong people and there's nothing I can do about it, I walk away. That's not being disloyal, that's human nature.

Coral have suspended betting on Pochettino being the next PL manager to leave. Was 66/1 prior to today. Not much of an indication because people are just acting on media speculation.
