Out for me as said before should have been after Man City or the Liverpool game. He started with a poor at Fulham, hopefully he will finish after this shambles against them.
I think Steve Clarke would be the most sensible choice to get us out of this mire. Now that we are in this position a safer name may be whats required and he would probably be a better fit for the players we have.
No. Can't see how we are improving under him. Totally spineless and team has regressed. Dave and co makes you feel bad for wanting a guy to lose his job but it's not that I want him to lose his job but he just isn't doing it. Hughton is making lawro's predictions come true! Awful! "Fulham ease past woeful Norwich" Just replace Fulham with practically any team name and it's true.
Totally agree KEMP. Look at it this way. If you had kids that were gifted and talented, and a teacher could not motivate them, or tried to suppress their ideas, would you want that teacher sacked or removed, even if they were a thoroughly decent person?
I am still behind Hughton, however if we get anything less than 3 points from our next two games even I will have to concede that a change of manager is probably necessary. I just fear that if the point comes where we have to remove Hughton then it will be very difficult to stay in the top division.
I just don't fancy us to win a game of football. Ever. For it to go on after this, say what you want, but that's on McNally for me.
For all the criticism of CH the players have a lot to answer for. They have made some terrible individual errors and whatever people say they have a responsibility to go out and give their all. There is no excuse to not try hard (like a few did tonight) and that is largely down to the players. The manager cannot be a scapegoat for everything.
Really? It's still the players for you? We have some very good players at this club, probably the best in our history - repeatedly the guy can't get them to do what he wants on the pitch. Or perhaps he can, but that doesn't win you a game of football. I realise some of you have been banging the drum so long that to stop would perhaps be seen as to lose face, but come on, this isn't working, and hasn't for the longest while.
How he is still here eludes me, does McNally not see what is going on? It's like the England cricket team, the team needs a fresh approach with new ideas to breathe life and enjoyment back into our club. We should play for the joy of being in the premier league not every minute in fear, as seems to have been the case with our defensive tactics over the last 2 seasons.
I never said it was just the players. But you cannot seriously believe they are not at fault at all? They have to take some responsibility. If they are as good as you claim they need to show it. CH can be blamed for lots of things but individual mistakes and a lack of effort is down to the individuals on the pitch. Yes maybe its a bit tough for them at the moment and maybe they don't like the way CH has them set up but they still owe it to the fans to give everything on the pitch and do what they can even within the tactics given, even if they don't like them. They need to be mentally stronger, a criticism that can be levelled at many footballers. They can't just hide behind the manager and their team mates, they must stand up and be counted.
I feel he has to go before the Hull game. Hughton is a dead man walking and we can't afford to lose the next two home games because they are crucial matches we should have a chance of winning. What will the atmosphere be like in the ground if CH is still in charge and the performance is like most of the rest this season? The club needs a lift, the fans need a lift. If the board have a replacement already, put him in. If not, let Adams act as caretaker and take some time to find the next guy rather than knee-jerk Mackay into position. Yes, I know it's a risk, but I honestly believe keeping CH a moment longer is a much bigger risk.
On the other hand, an unruly bunch of n'eer do wells? Bring in Michelle Pfeiffer! At least we'd fancy our boss, never mind our chances
What a horrible starting line up of defenders and Elmander who will never score a goal for us but plays nearly every game, standard concede 2 then bring on our main threats when confidence has been sapped. Groundhog day for us Norwich fans under Mr Nice .
He wouldn't be my first choice, but I'd be happy to give him a go. Don't all shoot me down at once, but I actually think Jol wouldn't be that bad a fit. He can't suddenly have turned into a total disaster at Fulham and I think his willingness to let players express themselves might actually suit the players we have, especially the forwards. Mackay does nothing for me. I think his football is as dull as Hughton, and he doesn't even seem to be as good a judge of a possible signing. Any foreign manager would have to adapt quickly unless they had played in the UK (and the ones who have tend to be at the start of their managerial careers and would represent quite a risk). But nothing ventured, nothing gained. It's time to be bold perhaps.
