After Markus died, it was only Cortese who seemed to want to drive the club on. You never hear from Markus' daughter and I bet she wasn't that bothered about the club, until we got to the Premier League. It wasn't until about a year after his passing that Cortese assured us that the club wasn't for sale and talked about getting top 6 and our long term ambitions. I was worried that when it was said that Markus' vision would continue to be driven forward, that it was only in the short term as in the 5 year plan, but hopefully it's long term.

Nicola has been on a skiing holiday for the last week or so, hence missing the games.

Next there will probably be a interview with Morgan saying he stayed because of Cortese's ambition and he would consider his future if he left.

Just seems too odd for him to go now as it would mean (more than likely) MP going when we've spent so much time/money beginning to implement this policy of building around youth and upgrading the academy etc etc. A new owner could well turn that sustainable model on it's head.

    Something just doesn't fit here.

A new owner willing to carry on Cortese's dream wouldn't tho.

OK, I suppose we have to start to take this seriously as it has actually got onto the main BBC News website, linking to the BBC Sport news: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25736264

Funnily enough, I'm quite sanguine about the whole thing. Think I've had my wobble.

    But without Cortese?

Sky saying they understand he *will* be leaving in the near future, but contrary to reports he's not been in discussions with any Italian club.

Cortese will never leave, for the same reason he'd never sack Adkins...

Peach saying this - @SimonPeach: Would be surprised not to see the same outlandish statements then recommitments from all parties & big-money acquisitions.
