Are we qualified to judge? A couple of tips. Get Sky Sports and BT Sports, retire, live in the UK which means that the weather prevents playing golf several days a week, live in a village with no pub so drink and drive laws restricts what you can drink in even the nearest pub, let your wife piss off to Australia for three months and joy on joy - you see so much coverage to become an expert on most leagues. I have even been watching games from north of the border and watched The Admiral play recently - about 2 stone more of him than when he left us but still plays the same way.
It's only one journalist per country. Presumably because the Telegraph is circulated throughout the UK, and FIFA don't like us having separate FA's, we just got one for the whole UK.

I think we have better strength in depth as shown through teams like Tottenham in the Europa League. It is also not over-run currently by a top two (Barca / Real) or Bayern in Germany but is more open to a top 6 or so. However I do think that the overall quality is down on say 5 years ago - but I would still rather watch most PL games than one in any other European League.
The premiership has never been the best league since its conception, I know we like to be called the best league but we are kidding ourselves. We are the best paid league and we have more foreign players in the premiership than other leagues but that is because most foreign players would not earn the money they do in their own leagues...This is why the 4 home nations are crap and will never again will win a major trophy. 1966 was the last time and that is far too long but nothing will change until the premiership changes it's policy on foreign players...
