What a load of **** this was.

Goalkeeper: Manuel Neuer – Bayern Munich
Defender: Philipp Lahm – Bayern Munich
Defender: Sergio Ramos – Real Madrid
    Defender: Thiago Silva – PSG
Defender: Dani Alves – FC Barcelona
Midfielder: Andres Iniesta – FC Barcelona
Midfielder: Xavi Hernandez – FC Barcelona
Midfielder: Franck Ribery – Bayern Munich
Forward: Cristiano Ronaldo – Real Madrd
    Forward: Zlatan Ibrahimovic – PSG
Forward: Lionel Messi – FC Barcelona

How on earth have Xavi and Iniesta managed to get into the team of the year? Both were not at their best for most of 2013, and both were made to look bang average in the big games. Xavi in particular has looked past his best in 2013. It's a crime that Bastian Schweinsteiger failed to make the team of the year. Also why is Lahm at left back, when he played as a right back for most of 2013? Alves can **** off, as Lahm deserves to be the right back and David Alba is a shoe in for the left back spot.

    My Team:

    Diego Lopez

    Lahm Silva Dante Alba

    Schweinsteiger Martínez

    Vidal

    Ronaldo Ibra Ribery

Alves, Ramos, Iniesta and Xavi are laughable inclusions. Agree with your team except I'd still include Neuer and have Messi in there as despite his injury he's still been class and is still the best on the planet along with Ronaldo imo.

Neuer was great, but he played in front of an incredible defensive unit. Lopez was epic in 2013 for Madrid and has dumped a club legend like Casillas to the bench with his performances. Leaving out Messi was probably harsh.

tbf I hadn't seen him an awful lot but I do agree re Lopez, whenever I saw him he was amazing considering how unheard of he was. Still baffled at the Xavi and moreso the Alves inclusions though.

Once I found of Xavi was in there I didn't bother finding out the rest, it's a criminal inclusion but the G14 bias isn't surprising. The lack of Dortmund and Juve players in there is also borderline insane.

The inclusion of Xavi is incredible, even the most biased Barca fan could not tell me that he has been one of the best midfielder in 2013.

the FIFAPRO team is always bollox as its picked by folk from the back of beyond who go on reputation as much as anything!

The UEFA team has been released and i'd argue its fairer reflection of 2013

Goalkeeper: Manuel Neuer – Bayern Munich
Defender: Philipp Lahm – Bayern Munich
Defender: Sergio Ramos – Real Madrid
    Defender: Thiago Silva – PSG
Defender: David Alaba – Bayern Munich
Midfielder: Marko Reus - Borrusia Dortmund
    Midfielder: Mezit Ozil - Arsenal
Midfielder: Franck Ribery – Bayern Munich
Forward: Cristiano Ronaldo – Real Madrd
    Forward: Zlatan Ibrahimovic – PSG
Forward: Gareth Bale - Real Madrd

As always these teams are stupidly unbalanced with no holding MF's of any kind. The UEFA one even more so than the FIFAPRO.

You know it's b0ll0x when most football fans on the planet could pick a balanced team that would beat either the FIFPro team or the UEFA team.

All you'd need is two holding midfielders and those two teams would lose.
