He was selected in the first XI, 9 times.... 5 of those in the Cups.

    He was THAT good.

    One down.

Now, if only Forte, Barnard, Fox, Hooiveld etc. would agree to terminate their contracts, we can use the freed wages to sign a premier league standard player!

Never settled in English football. Great knock down to Rickie at Elland Road, and a great strike vs Derby. Thanks 'Chung', all the best.

Remember Saints now have a legion of fans in Japan & S Korea who have flooded the club with income.

I am certain they will not desert us, even if Yoshida leaves. They are solid.

The wages probably wouldn't add up to much... that's a few parking spaces at Staplewood though.

I was at Watford and Leeds where he was a very significant positive in gaining 6 away points that contributed to our promotion.. Good luck Chung

Shame that he always got injured at the worst possible times in terms of his career here. Had he stayed match fit, he could have played a more influential role during the Championship season.

Hopefully he starts playing regularly for the next club he joins, and if so, he may yet sneak a spot on the plane to Brazil.

Could have been different for him, and he played a small role in our promotion, but so many factors have conspired against him really. Pretty inevitable it would end this way.

Being not good at the football, the main factor.

Not good at football? A bit harsh. Unlucky with injuries and untested at premier league level, but he looked alright the few times he played.

Yes, it would be interesting to know exactly what how good he was. I thought he looked very good in the Championship when he came. Then he was injured, and he was passed by because we got promoted and transfer budgets increased. Another victim of Saints climbing the ranks so quickly.

I feel like he's at least Championship level, possibly even low Premier League level (and sometimes there really isn't a difference). But he probably doesn't want to stay here.

Think Lee occupied a position in the squad that wasn't actually there. He was probably more a nuisance (not in a nasty way) to the coaching staff than a help. Gallagher already jumped ahead of him, with Jake Sinclair, Omar Rowe etc filling the U21 forward roles.
