Brendan Rogers is willing to meet Sunderland's asking price for in-form winger Adam Johnson. Johnson has undergone somewhat of a revival under new manager Gus Poyet, including scoring a hat-trick against Fulham, and a host of clubs have expressed their interest in him. CaughtOffside reports that Johnson would welcome a move away from the Stadium of Light in a bid to reignite his chances of an England recall in time for the World Cup in Brazil. A £14 million bid should be more than enough for Liverpool to prise Gus Poyet's star player away from him, but Johnson could move to Anfield on loan till the end of the season before making a permanent switch in the summer. The 26-year-old has made 12 appearances for the national team, scoring twice, but his last came against Italy in a friendly in August 2012. Liverpool have been linked with a new winger for a while now and Mohamed Salah is rumoured to be top of their list.
