    Any joy taken from this result should be tempered against the fact that there was an Alnwick in goal for the Geordies. Ben's younger brother Jak, who appears to have lost a letter somewhere.

    APPARENTLY, he's actually meant to be a decent prospect.

    I know nothing of him though, just what I've read/ heard in the past.

    Unfortunately he pulled up just before half time and it looked as if he has a reoccurrence of his injury. Such a shame as he was skipping past Newcastle players for fun. Fryers also got injured and didn't look at all comfortable. In fact he needed a golf buggy to get back to the changing rooms.

    On a more positive note, Harry Kane played extremely well and Adam Smith gave an assured performance. Mini Bale was as lively as ever and can be well pleased with his display. With a bit more composure up front, we could have had a few more, but this was a good display, reminiscent of some of last seasons games and the score did not flatter us.

    Not a bad team for the reserve game v West Ham (my guessed formation)

    Spurs:
    Friedel;
    Naughton (A McQueen, 75), Kaboul (Gallifuoco, 60), Vertonghen (Stewart, 60), Fryers;
    Capoue, Paulinho (Ward, 60), Sandro (Veljkovic, 46); Sigurdsson,
    Holtby (Couleybaly, 75),
    Kane,
