Time to stop buying players and only once the youth fail turn to the market. We aren't in a position to buy players to compete in the CL with any consistency and we are strong enough to win the League. If we can develop a high percentage of our own players then the money we do have can be spread less thin and them we could land a player that will make the difference in the CL. We will never have a better chance to do this, its folly to keep spending £2.5 on Balde's and Pukki's while our youth is not even allowed a chance to develop.
Apart from Forrest and McGeady, no youngsters that have come through have been given a chance to cement a place in the team
It's ridiculous. We're out of Europe and the title is a given. There's never been a better opportunity to give the young players their chance. Clubs in Holland, Belguim etc. have no qualms about throwing young players in yet we have such a reluctance to do so in this country, especially at Celtic.
Have to agree, with the absence of Rangers from the SPL there is no better time to blood young talent, we can afford to lose the odd game so why not give some of the kids a chance of a couple of games against the really diddy teams.
Yer man from Stormfront (or whitever the **** his team is called) is en route to sellic park as we speak for final talks according to Radio Scotland news.
Fraser impressed me before his injury, hopefully he will get a chance as the chances of us playing Ambrose and Virgil every game must come to an end at some point! Biton deserves a few starts and would like to see Henderson on the bench next few games and come on amd slowly try and force his way hisvway for a start. If Watt is on loan to get games......are we watching him?? Or is there no chance for him now?? The amount of youngsters we have loaned put and never seen again is absurd!!
Shane Long being mentioned again!! Don't see him going Hull but think another EPL side will pick him up. On the Irish link, nobody has mentioned Given as a replacement for Forster yet.....
too old and past his best. need to be looking for the next Forster not someone playing out to retirement
It was more a joke about how we get linked to every Irish player to be honest! Wouldnt say no to him if we havent got an ideal replacement though, would do a job for 12 months to allow us to scout a good young keeper
Linked with Luke Moore today Formerly of Villa and West Brom. Been playing in Turkey Never a prolfic scorer and from what I recall of him I'd rather play Balde. Could be wrong but my memories of him had him as injury prone Brum may know a bit more about him as played most of his football in the midlands I believe

I make that 35 goal in 231 appearances. About one goal every six and a half games. That's not even good for a midfielder. Cheek to call himself a striker. Reminds me that Sammy has never managed a hit rate of one in three in any season in his entire career. Not much of a striker either. I'm surprised at the reported teams interested in him.
Moore is gash!!! Not the poacher type player Lennon said he wants, not a young player so doesn't go in line with our develop and sell on for a profit. Where you hear this Anport? Paul George away to Hamilton on loan apparently
