This is a follow on to Yarco's thread really. I'm interested to see who makes peoples best XI in the premier league this year. Teams must be 4-4-2 formation.

    My team would be:-

    Lloris
    Zabaleta Koscielny Lovren Baines
    Hazard Toure Ramsey Lallana
    Suarez Aguero

    Szczesny
    Zabaleta Kompany Jagielka Baines
    Hazard Toure Fernandinho Lallana
    Suarez Aguero

Ok that's pretty similar to yours, but I promise I did it independently!

I've gone for a slightly tweaked 4-4-2, but have at least stuck to four defenders, four midfielders and two up front

    Lloris
    Coleman Koscielny Kompany Baines
    Flamini
    Hazard Toure Ramsey
    Suarez Aguero

Flamini is a very good shout. Didn't think about him, but I still think Fernandinho (just!)

Can someone add all the votes up after a set time and find out our collective PL XI?

Doable if everyone sticks to the 4 defenders, 4 midfielders, 2 strikers format.

I think the strikers can be decided already. I nearly went for Giroud instead of Aguero, he may not have scored as many but he has put in some great performances this year.

    De Gea

    Coleman/Kompany/Jagielka/Baines

    Ramsey/Toure/Hazard/Ozil

    Suarez/Aguero

I think that De Gea has been pretty good this season despite Man U being somewhat cack. Ozil is such a good player to watch and I think his signing has been key to Arsenal turning things round so far this season.

I can't believe nobody else has picked Mignolet, to me he has been huge step up for Liverpool.

I think the front 2 are sorted, I can't think of anybody else in the full backs positions either.

It seems that the only English player rated consistently is Baines

A true reflection of the current quality of English players I think.

I remember seeing a recent list of the top footballers in the world, by some kind of analysis. Baines, Rooney and I believe Gerrard were the only ones to make the top 100, with only one player (Rooney I think?) in the top 50. How can you possibly expect to compete in a world cup when we've not even got half a side of world class players!

    For me

    Begovic
    Coleman Koscielny Kompany Baines
    Toure Fernandinho Ozil
    Aguero Rooney Suarez

Probably doesn't work as a team, but they are the players I would say make the biggest impact
