    He did well in the Prem last season, so surely he's worth a gamble?
    Pretty sure this is just a twitter rumour that a lazy Sun journalist has picked up on though.

    He did play well last season for Sunderland, he's worth a punt I guess, its is however frustating being linked to 34 year olds on freebies only, why cant we sign a 23 year old that a lot of teams want,

    Why are you guys knocking Zenden, he's better than what you have got in midfield at the moment!

    I was hoping, like lot's of other Sunderland fans that he'd stay with us for another year. He can still do a good job in the Premiership, so the Championship should be no problem for him! I prefered him in our team in place of Henderson last season, and we've just sold him for 20m, so that shows how good of a job he done for us!

    Then again, some Leeds fans would complain that Bobby Collins and Gordon Strachan were over the hill if we signed them now at the ages they were when they joined us.

    worth a punt !! we need to have a game changer .......
    Maybe with Nunez(if he gets a game) and Zenden we will have that......

    I think Macca was the last good quality creative midfielder we had........ He could change a game ... we need one of those if we are going to get out of this division also we need a........

    nowt wrong with golden oldies if they can still do a job and are not just picking up the cashola.. freedman came in for a bit and did a job for us scoring some important goals
