Quite a few clubs interested in him, roma, ac milan, everton and man city. Seems like a cracking player with good vision.
Seen he was allowed to leave the camp for talks but initially they never reported where he was going. With clubs like that interested lets hope the deal gets done sharpish
I dont know a lot about this guy - so cant say if i totally agree here. We have been missing a ball playing advanced midfielder -someone with a wee bit of creativity about them, ability to pick a pass and hold the ball - a Lubo type. If this guy is that then its a good thing. If we sign him and still persist with Mulgrew in midfield my head may well explode though!! Still need a poacher and a winger to replace Samaras in addition to this type of player - and maybe a centre half
4 goals in the Norwegian league suggests he is not the Lubo type player. We have Brown, Ledley, Biton and Kayal for those central roles so another midfielder was needed, we were short thrpugh injury and suspensions a few months back. Still like to see us going for Gauld type player who could play central or on the wing. Our strikers get alot of flak but playing one upfront is hard for the striker and they rely on good service which we havent really provided
We have Rogic as well - although he'd not been given a fair chance to prove his aussie apperances can be replicated at Celtic. I agree on the rest. Boerigter and Forrest have been pish at creating chances for others. And to be fair Samaras and even Commons fall into this category this season (although commons and to a lesser degree Forrest have at least added something in the way of goals unlike Samaras)
I also agree we need to be looking at the likes of Gauld, if goes down south he will end up like McCarthy and Fletcher and even McFadden in his heyday as out of our league in affordability
I like Kayal, a great player, but if he can't keep fit he is useless to us. Didn't put Rogic in the list of midfielders simply because I don't see him as being anywhere near starting for us, hence him out on loan, this guy coming in! I see this guy as the holding player which Kayal and Wanyama have been, will hopefully signal the end of Mulgrew in that role and free him up to cover defence, negating the need fpr another leftback and possibly centreback too with Lustig able to cover also.
