http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeRqgqQafL8 If so can anyone explain that shocking header late on v West Ham?
out of form due 2injury maybe.......maybe he`s just crap..........we shall see what ogs thinks of him in the next few months I expect.
I suspect the latter of your suggestions. Play him at Bolton and his he is as bad as he was versus West Ham & Sunderland then make him go training with Connelly and Smith on match days.
I think Corny is just overawed by it all, needs to settle down and just play the /his game, if he can do that we will see how good he is. Maybe the likes of Ekrim and Bellamy will help him settle, not looking good for him though at this moment in time.
the dungeon of doom you mean ninian opinion...........he be in a mcds big tasty sooner rather than later if he doesn't buck up his s.h.i.t..
the lad needs a goal I expect>>>>>>>>goals and strikers can be like the bus service sometimes hey....
Tbf if you went to a foreign country, and all the press and fans were talking about how **** you are, your manager is sacked for buying you and compound all that with **** service.. How many would you score? Edit: and into the toughest league in the world I still reckon the boy will come good and score a properly vital goal for us..once he breaks the duck he'll start banging them in
Very good question Nin. He didn't look great when he played at Cheltenham in the pre-season friendly but he needed time to settle after such a big money move. His injuries and long recovery time have not helped and he has been asked to perform in a struggling side and with all the off field nonsense going on. Hardly ideal. I can't believe he is the donkey he appeared on Saturday and hope he can put that behind him. He should be given a game from the start at Bolton and that might be his only chance to prove his worth. Otherwise loan out time beckons.
He missed it, but that's the first headed chance I've seen us make for him....... Clubs like us don't have 1 chance = 1 goal strikers. Rudy certainly wasn't. He's a big lad and he'll need service, I said a few weeks back that if we make the chances and he misses them then I'll write him off.
It hardly matters as right now he will not be a major player but on the bright side if he suddenly finds his form he could well be the player we bought. Personally I can see potential but until he feels part of the team then he will look like a really bad signing. From his point he should take this positively as we would all like him to do well and it is up to him to show that quality not us. jck
Well Steve, that was his starter for 10 on Saturday. Could have been a hero not a zero. It is a pity because the lad is keen and wants to do well. Unfortunately being keen often isn't enough.
Easier said than done ISAW other than a loan move at this stage of the season. I'm not sure Tan would be happy at facing the sort of loss Corney's current failure rate would bring.
No point in selling him now. He wouldn't get the wages so we'd have to help there and he's worth about £2-3m max. Might as well keep him. He'd probably do a good job in the Championship next season if it ends that badly.
Not sure he'll become an £8M, £45k / w striker, but I think there is quite a bit to come from him. Lets see where we are at the end of the season.
